ANALISA PERBANDINGAN PERFORMANSI JARINGAN 4G LTE OPERATOR A DAN B DI KECAMATAN BALIKPAPAN TIMUR

ABSTRACT The level of mobility of society is growing every time because the development of communicaton technology, especially mobile communication is increasing. Consumers want high data and signal for access service. It also becomes a challenge for operators to improve and provide the best service for consumers. It’s appear a technology that is Long Term Evolution (LTE) which is a solution in addressing the increasingly high service needs. This study analyzes the results of measurement and comparison of network performance of Operator A and Operator B in East Balikpapan area. The study was conducted by the drive test method From this study obtained the results that the test plan HTTP page Operator A has a RSRP value of -103,512388 dBm and Operator B has a RSRP value of – 103,40227 dBm where both of Operators have almost the same quality. In test plan video play Operator A has a RSRP value of -102,789555 dBm and Operator B has a RSRP value of -102,703081 dBm where both of Operators still have almost the same quality. In test plan voice Operator B has an average value of Ec/Io parameters greater than Operator A. While for BLER parameters Operator B has a smaller average value than Operator A. ABSTRAK Tingkat mobilitas masyarakat yang semakin berkembang setiap waktu menyebabkan perkembangan teknologi komunikasi khususnya komunikasi seluler semakin meningkat. Para konsumen menginginkan tingginya layanan akses data dan sinyal yang kuat. Hal ini pun menjadi tantangan bagi para operator untuk memperbaiki dan memberikan pelayanan terbaik untuk konsumen. Muncul suatu teknologi yaitu Long Term Evolution (LTE) yang merupakan solusi dalam mengatasi kebutuhan layanan yang semakin tinggi. Penelitian ini menganalisa tentang hasil pengukuran dan perbandingan performansi jaringan Operator A dan Operator B di wilayah Balikpapan Timur. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode drive test. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa pada test plan HTTP page Operator A memiliki nilai RSRP sebesar -103,512388 dBm dan Operator B memiliki nilai RSRP sebesar -103,40227 dBm dimana kedua Operator memiliki kualitas yang hampir sama. Pada test plan video play Operator A memiliki nilai RSRP sebesar -102,789555 dBm dan Operator B memiliki nilai RSRP sebesar -102,703081 dBm dimana kedua Operator masih memiliki kualitas yang hampir sama. Pada test plan voice Operator B memiliki nilai rata – rata parameter Ec/Io yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan Operator A, sedangkan untuk parameter BLER Operator B memiliki nilai rata – rata yang lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan Operator A.
