Analisa Penyebab Internal Leaks Pada Final Drive HD 785-7 Di PT.United Tractors Site Sambarata

The power train system is a group of components that work together to transfer power from a power source or force is produced to the place used to do work. One of the important components in the power train system is the final drive. The final drive is a component of the power train as the final drive, which is towards the wheels or track. It has function to multiply the last torque. In heavy equipment such as the HD 785-7 dump truck, the final drive component is very important. Because if the final drive is damaged, it will reduce production. One of the damages that occurred on the final drive was an internal leak. The cause of the internal leak is due to the misalignment of the final drive components so that they experience wear, which caused a system leak in the final drive. This study used 8 step troubleshooting in order to determine the cause of the trouble. The results of the field investigation found that the components of the final drive were worn out due to misalignment. From the PAP data, it was found that iron content was very high. The repair effort made is replacing the final drive components. Sistem power train adalah sekelompok komponen yang bekerja secara bersama untuk mentransfer power dari sebuah sumber power atau gaya tersebut diproduksi menuju tempat yang digunakan untuk melakukan kerja. Salah satu komponen yang penting dalam sistem power train adalah final drive. Final drive adalah komponen dari power train sebagai penggerak akhir yaitu menuju roda atau track, fungsinya adalah melipatgandakan torque yang paling akhir. Pada unit alat berat seperti dump truck HD 785-7, komponen final drive sangat penting. Karena jika final drive mengalami kerusakan maka akan menurunkan produksi. Salah satu kerusakan yang terjadi pada final drive adalah internal leak. Penyebab internal leak dikarenakan adanya ketidaksimetrisan pada komponen final drive sehingga mengalami keausan yang mengakibatkan kebocoran sistem pada final drive. Penelitian ini menggunakan 8 step troubleshooting dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya trouble tersebut. Didapat hasil dari investigasi dilapangan ditetemukan komponen dari final drive mengalami keausan yang disebabkan oleh adanya ketidaksimetrisan. Dari data hasil PAP ditemukan kandungan iron sangat tinggi. Upaya perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah melakukan penggantian pada komponen final drive.
