PEMBUATAN APLIKASI PENGELOLAAN DATA PRAKTIK KERJA LAPANGAN DI LINGKUNGAN BMKG BALIKPAPAN BERBASIS WEB MENGGUNAKAN PHP DAN MYSQL

Abstrak (Abstracts)

The development of technology communication in obtaining information affects the performance of organizational and business processes. Its development must provide benefits to an organization in obtaining the information it needs quickly so as to assist the organization manager in making appropriate decisions. Changes in the form of processes used with the development of technology and communication are expected to be able to encourage organizations to have management in obtaining information more accurately and more efficiently. One of the processes that occur at the Balikpapan BMKG is the management of field practicum activities. The management of field practicum activities at BMKG Balikpapan still uses manual methods so that the benefits of technological and communication developments are not fully utilized. The author intends and views the need to create a web-based Job Training Application. This application is expected to be able to carry out the registration process to follow street vendors quickly, precisely and accurately. In addition, this application is expected to display the information needed, as well as manipulate data that will be used in field practicum. Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dalam mendapatkan informasi mempengaruhi kinerja dari proses organisasi dan bisnis. Perkembangannya harus memberikan manfaat bagi sebuah organisasi dalam memperoleh informasi yang dibutuhkan secara cepat sehingga membantu pengelola organisasi dalam mengambil keputusan yang sesuai. Perubahan bentuk proses yang digunakan dengan perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi diharapkan mampu mendorong organisasi untuk memiliki pengelolaan dalam mendapatkan informasi secara lebih akurat dan lebih efesien. Salah satu proses yang terjadi pada BMKG Balikpapan adalah pengelolaan kegiatan praktek kerja lapangan (PKL). Pengelolaan kegiatan praktik kerja lapangan di BMKG Balikpapan ini masih menggunakan cara manual sehingga manfaat dari perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi tidak sepenuhnya terpakai. Penulis bermaksud dan memandang perlu untuk membuat aplikasi praktik kerja lapangan berbasis web. Aplikasi ini diharapkan mampu melakukan proses registrasi untuk mengikuti PKL secara cepat, tepat dan akurat. Selain itu aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat menampilkan informasi yang dibutuhkan, serta memanipulasi data yang akan digunakan dalam kegiatan PKL.
