RANCANG BANGUN SENSOR LEVEL AIR RADIATOR BERBASIS ARDUINO UNO

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Cooling system in four-wheeled vehicles or vehicles that have a high cc is very important, because the main function of cooling system is to cool down the engine during the combustion procces in the engine to avoid overheat engine which can damage the engine of the vehicle. Especially the radiator and the radiator water, which is where the radiator water as the main media to cool down the vehicle engine, and then radiator water will be cooled inside the radiator through the radiator fins by the radiator fan. So the water in the radiator must always be checked to see the volume of the water in the radiator and recervoir tank to avoid the lack of radiator which can decrease the efficiency of the cooling system in cooling the engine of the vehicle. Therefore, this sensor is made to make it easier for driver to know the level of the radiator water or find out whether there is radiator water in the recervoir tank, and also to find out if there is a leak in the radiator by the sudden reduction of radiator while driving. The sensor system used in this research uses Arduino UNO as a microcontroller. This tool is equipped with a water sensor as input which is positioned in the recervoir tank. This tool has a buzzer as output. The buzzer will sound if the water sensor does not detect the presence of radiator water approaching the sensor, and the buzzer will stop sounding if the water sensor detects water or the sensor is flooded in the radiator water. This tool will be active when the key is in the ON position. The results of this research, this tool works according to the design that has been done and programming on this tool can work well in accordance with the desired working principles through programming instructions on the arduino UNO microcontroller Cooling system dalam kendaraan roda empat atau kendaraan yang memiliki cc yang tinggi sangat penting, karena fungsi utama dari cooling system adalah untuk mendinginkan mesin saat proses pembakaran didalam mesin agar terhindar dari overheat engine yang dapat merusak mesin kendaraan. Terutama radiator dan juga air radiator, yang dimana air radiator sebagai media utama untuk mendinginkan mesin kendaraan,kemudian air radiator itu akan didinginkan didalam radiator melalui fin-fin radiator yang dibantu dengan kipas radiator. Sehingga air didalam radiator harus rajin dilakukan pemeriksaan untuk melihat volume air yang ada didalam radiator dan recervoir tank untuk menghindari kurangnya air radiator yang dapat membuat kurangnya efisiensi dari cooling system dalam mendinginkan mesin kendaraan. Oleh karena itu, perancangan dan pembuatan sensor ini untuk mempermudah pengendara untuk mengetahui level air radiator atau mengetahui apakah masih terdapat air radiator didalam recervoir tank, dan juga dapat mengetahui apabila ada kebocoran pada radiator dengan berkurangnya air radiator secara tiba-tiba saat sedang berkendara. Sistem dari sensor yang dibuat pada penelitian ini menggunakan arduino UNO sebagai mikrokontroller. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan sensor air sebagai input yang diposisikan di recervoir tank. Alat ini terdapat buzzer sebagai output. Buzzer akan berbunyi apabila sensor air tidak mendeteksi adanya air radiator yang mendekat pada sensor, dan buzzer akan berhenti berbunyi jika sensor air mendeteksi adanya air atau sensor tergenang didalam air radiator. Alat ini akan aktif apabila kunci kontak di posisi ON. Hasil dari penelitian ini, alat ini bekerja sesuai perancangan yang telah dilakukan dan pemrograman pada alat ini dapat bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan prinsip kerja yang diinginkan melalui perintah pemrograman pada mikrokontroller arduino UNO.
