ANALISA PENYEBAB ABNORMAL NOISE STARTING MOTOR PADA UNIT HD 785-7 DI PT. UNITED TRACTORS, Tbk SITE BATU KAJANG

Abstrak (Abstracts)

The Starter System is a mechatronic circuit which has function to rotate the crankshaft using electrical energy when starting the engine. One important component in the starter system is the starting motors. The starting motors is a component in the starter system which has function to convert electrical energy from the battery into rotating (mechanical) motion energy that will be used to spin the fly wheel for the first time, which is needed by the machine to live or perform its duty cycle. In heavy equipment unit like the HD 785-7 dump truck, the starting motors components is very important. Because if the starting motors is damaged it will reduce production. One of the damage that occurs in the starter motor is pinion gear wear. The cause of damage to the pinion gear is because the movement of the pinion gear is not aligned so that it hits the fly wheel. This type of this research is field research with the aim to find out the causes of wear on the pinion gear. The results obtained from the measurement of CN SF Pin 4 on the gear shift lever transmission are 7-8 V, while the standard of the CN SF Pin 4 is 15-20 V. The improvement efforts undertaken are to replace the gear shift lever transmission components with components that have been modified by Komatsu. Sistem Starteradalah sebuah rangkaian mekatronika yang berfungsi memutar poros engkol menggunakan energi listrik saat akan menyalakan mesin.Salah satu komponen yang penting dalam sistem starter adalah motor starter. Motor starter adalah suatu komponen dalam sistem starter yang berfungsi untuk mengubah energi listrik dari baterai menjadi energi gerak (mekanik) putar yang akan digunakan untuk memutar fly wheel pertama kali, yang dibutuhkan mesin tersebut untuk hidup atau melakukan siklus kerjanya. Pada unit alat berat seperti dump truck HD 785-7komponen motor starter sangat penting. Karena jika motor starter mengalami kerusakan maka akan menurunkan produksi. Salah satu kerusakan yang terjadi pada motor starter adalah keausan gear pinion. Penyebab kerusakan pada gear pinion dikarenakan pergerakangear pinion tidak selaras sehingga menabrak fly wheel. Penelitian ini berjenis field research dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya keausan pada gear pinion. Didapat hasil dari pengukuran CN SF Pin 4 pada gear shift lever transmission adalah sebesar 7-8 V, sedangkan standar dari CN SF Pin 4 adalah 15-20 V. Upaya perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah melakukan penggantian pada komponen gear shift lever transmission dengan komponen yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Komatsu.
