Abstrak (Abstracts)

ABSTRACTS In mining industry, innovation is always needed to help human’s work. With the demands of the times, humans want everything with a proper system and guaranteed safety. One of them is to reduce the level of risk of injury in the process of removing and installing the valve spring cylinder head. The researcher observed that the process of removing and installing the valve spring cylinder head already used a special tool. Identifying problems that occured during field observations, the researcher found the method that used was ineffective during the process of removing and installing the valve spring cylinder head using the hand-press method. This method can cause the risk of minor accidents such as being pinched in the finger or hit by thelock valve in the eye because the valve lock when pressed and released will bounce out due to pressure from the spring. Therefore, the researcher are interested in conducting research on the design and construction of release and installation tools valve spring on the cylinder head withdriving Hydraulic Jack with themethod press using a hydraulic jack to remove and install the valve spring cylinder head on the diesel engine Komatsu SAA6D170E-5S in order to be a solution to the problems that occurred. Keywords: Valve Spring Cylinder Head, Removal and Installation, Design. ABSTRAK Dalam dunia industri pertambangan inovasi selalu dibutuhkan untuk membantu pekerjaan manusia. Dengan adanya tuntutan zaman sehingga manusia menginginkan segala sesuatu dengan sistem tepat dan terjamin keselamatannya. Salah satunya untuk menurunkan tingkat resiko terjadinya cedera pada proses pelepasan dan pemasangan valve spring cylinder head. Penulis memperhatikan bahwa proses pelepasan dan pemasangan valve spring cylinder head sudah menggunakan special tool, Identifikasi masalah yang terjadi pada saat observasi di lapangan penulis menemukan kurang efektifnya metode yang digunakan pada saat proses pelepasan dan pemasangan valve spring cylinder head dengan menggunakan metode di tekan dengan tangan. Metode tersebut bisa mengakibatkan resiko kecelakaan kecil seperti terjepit dibagian jari ataupun terkena pengunci valve di bagian mata karena pengunci valve pada saat di tekan dan di lepas akan terpental keluar di karenakan tekanan dari spring. Oleh karena itu penulis tertarik melakukan penelitian pembuatan rancang bangun alat bantu pelepas dan pemasangan Valve Spring pada cylinder head dengan penggerak Hydraulic Jack. Dengan metode di press menggunakan hydraulic jack untuk melepas dan memasang valve spring cylinder head pada engine diesel komatsu tipe SAA6D170E-5S yang bertujuan untuk menjadi solusi dari permasalahan yang terjadi.
