ANALISA KERUSAKAN FINAL DRIVE PADA UNIT COMPACTOR BOMAG BW 219D-4 DI PT. UNITED TRACTORS, Tbk. SITE BATULICIN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Bomag is one of the heavy equipment equipment producers (Heavy Duty Equitment), especially in the field of compaction technology which is often used in the construction industry, plantations and mining. In the bomag unit, there is a power train system which has an important role in the compaction process, namely the final drive which acts as a power successor and final drive. The important role of this final drive really determines the performance of the bomag unit so that good maintenance is needed to prevent damage to the unit, in addition to maintaining dusty field conditions, uneven roads, and extreme weather which are the causes of the damage. The purpose of this study was to determine the cause of the final drive broken in the BOMAG BW 219D-4 unit. The method used is data collection, visual observation and 8 step troubleshooting. From the analysis, it was found that the final drive component was damaged in the cover of the LH final drive. The cause of a broken final drive is a broken planetry bearing that blocks the mechanism in the final drive causing damage to the gear, planetry bearings, ring gear, sun gear and the final drive cover. This happens because the inner race bearing mechanism can rotate against the shaft in the planetry gear so that it can create pressure on the snap ring which causes the snap ring tip to break and snap ring fracture into the bearing rail so that the bearing broken. Bomag merupakan salah satu produsent peralatan alat berat (Heavy Duty Equitment) khususnya dalam bidang teknologi pemadatan yang sering digunakan pada bidang perindustrian kontruksi, perkebunan dan pertambangan. Pada unit bomag terdapat system power train yang memiliki peranan penting dalam proses pemadatan yaitu final drive yang berperan sebagai penerus tenaga dan penggerak akhir. Peranan penting pada final drive ini sangat menentukan kinerja dari unit bomag sehingga perlu dilakukan perawatan yang baik agar tidak terjadi kerusakan pada unit tersebut, selain perawatan factor kondisi lapangan yang berdebu, jalan tidak rata, dan cuaca yang ekstrim menjadi penyebab kerusakan yang terjadi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya final drive broken pada unit BOMAG BW 219D-4. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, pengamatan secara visual dan 8 step troubleshooting. Dari hasil analisa didapat bahwa komponen final drive mengalami kerusakan pada bagian cover final drive LH. Penyebab dari final drive broken adalah pecahan bearing planetry menghambat mekanisme di final drive sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan pada gear,bearing planetry,ring gear,sun gear dan cover final drive. Hal ini terjadi karena mekanisme inner race bearing bisa berputar terhadap shaft di planetry gear sehingga dapat menimbulkan tekanan pada snap ring yang menyebabkan ujung snap ringnya patah dan patahan snap ring masuk ke rel bearing sehingga bearingnya pecah.
