RANCANG BANGUN HOLDER REMOVE INSTALL FLYWHEEL PADA SMALL ENGINE

Abstrak (Abstracts)

In the world of mining and construction, the selection of heavy equipment with high availability of Units (physical availability) is very important to note considering the production capacity of a company is very concerned with (physical availability) Unit. The Units of the selected machines must be planned and in accordance with the production activities undertaken, in addition to the maintenance of the Unit of heavy equipment must be well management, because otherwise it will hate the company in terms of cost and time such as production capacity is not maximized, the work does not finish on time. Regarding the maintenance Unit, engine is one component that is very important for (physical availability) of the Unit because as the main power producer so that it should be done periodic maintenance such as periodic service until Overhoul if it reaches the specified hours meters. In mechanical Overhoul must remove components named Flywheel which when the operation must use lifting tools such as chain block and crane to lift the Flywheel and in the operation requires more than 1 mechanic to hold the Flywheel and operate the chain block so that it has the risk of falling and Flywheel pinned. So the author managed to create a Holder Remove Install Flywheel tool that uses a thread jack as its mechanism that can be positioned with Flywheel height on the engine stand so that it can significantly reduce the risk of fall and pinch Flywheel in Flywheel install work, as well as reduce the time required in the work so that it is found effectiveness and safety in this tool because mechanics do not need to perform manual lifting with cranes or chain blocks. Dalam dunia pertambangan dan konstruksi, pemilihan alat berat dengan ketersediaan Unit (physical availability) yang tinggi sangat penting untuk diperhatikan mengingat kapasitas produksi suatu perusahaan sangat menyangkut dengan (physical availability) Unit. Unit-Unit alat berat yang dipilih pun haruslah terencana dan sesuai dengan kegiatan produksi yang dikerjakan, selain itu maintenance dari Unit alat berat pun harus dimanajemen dengan baik, karena jika tidak maka akan membenani perusahaan dari segi cost dan waktu seperti kapasitas produksi tidak maksimal, pekerjaan tidak selesai tepat waktu. Mengenai maintenance Unit, engine adalah salah satu komponen yang sangat berperan penting bagi (physical availability) Unit tersebut karena sebagai penghasil power utama sehingga harus dilakukan maintenance berkala seperti periodic service sampai overhoul jika sudah mencapai hours meter yang telah ditentukan. Dalam overhoul mekanik harus melepas komponen bernama Flywheel yang saat pengerjaannya harus menggunakan alat angkat seperti chain block dan crane untuk mengangkat Flywheel tersebut dan dalam pengerjaannya membutuhkan lebih dari 1 orang mekanik untuk memegang Flywheel dan mengoperasikan chain block sehingga memiliki resiko kejatuhan dan terjepit Flywheel. Sehingga penulis berhasil membuat alat Holder Remove Install Flywheel yang menggunakan dongkrak ulir sebagai mekanismenya yang dapat diposisikan dengan ketinggian Flywheel pada engine stand sehingga secara signifikan dapat mengurangi resiko kejatuhan dan terjepit Flywheel dalam pengerjaan Remove Install Flywheel, serta mengurangi waktu yang diperlukan dalam pengerjaan tersebut sehingga ditemukan efektifitas dan safety pada alat ini karena mekanik tidak perlu melakukan pengangkatan manual dengan crane ataupun chain block
