RANCANG BANGUN JARINGAN LOKAL AREA NETWORK LABORATORIUM CISCO DI POLITEKNIK NEGERI BALIKPAPAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Along with the development of science especially in the field of information technology resulted in a very large change in terms of information systems, the need to save time, simplify the forefront where people are required to save time with quick and certainly more neat. In a system of classes was very necessity of development of technology to make it easier and save time so that forefront can alleviate the lecture itself, in the laboratory of Cisco Balikpapan State Polytechnic itself still has a shortage of provision of classrooms or laboratories which support the lecture itself. Cisco laboratory in the Balikpapan State Polytechnic is still or lack facilities especially the network that meet the standards in the rooms, so my title is adopted to solve the problem that students often complaining with wifi networks that’s up and down and too much access from outside the laboratories of cisco. With the method of comparison and analysis of the network that is used in the preparation of this final project is the observation network in the laboratory to analyze cisco State Polytechnic of Balikpapan, local area network network designs that have been applied in the loboratorium cisco using UTP cable with associated with switches and routers. The result of this final project is the application of local area network network as one of the solutions to deal with the main problem being the network, where the student can access the campus network to work on, collecting assignments, working on the exam was annoyed that gets very little in terms of bandwitch upload or transfer data. Seiring dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan terutama di bidang Teknologi Informasi mengakibatkan perubahan yang sangat besar dalam hal Sistem Informasi kebutuhan untuk menghemat waktu, mempermudah perkerjaan dimana orang diharuskan menghemat waktu dengan perkerjaan yang lebih cepat dan rapi. Pada suatu sistem perkuliahan sangat perlunya perkembangan teknologi untuk mempermudah perkerjaan dan mengefesiensikan waktu sehingga dapat meringankan perkuliahan itu sendiri, di Laboratorium Cisco Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan sendiri masih memiliki kekurangan penyediaan ruang kelas maupun laboratorium yang menunjang perkuliahan itu sendiri. Dimana laboratorium cisco Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan kekurangan fasilitas khususnya jaringan yang memenuhi standar di ruangan tersebut, sehingga judul diatas saya angkat untuk memecahkan masalah yang seringkali mahasiswa keluhkan dengan jaringan wifi yang naik turun dan terlalu banyak yang mengakses dari luar laboratorium cisco. Dengan metode perbandingan dan analisa jaringan yang digunakan dalam penyusunan tugas akhir ini adalah observasi menganalisa jaringan di laboratorium cisco Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan, rancangan jaringan lokal area network yang telah di terapkan di loboratorium cisco dengan menggunakan kabel UTP dengan dihubungkan dengan switch dan router. Hasil dari pengerjaan tugas akhir ini adalah penerapan jaringan lokal area network sebagai salah satu solusi untuk menangani jaringan yang menjadi masalah utama, dimana mahasiswa untuk mengakses jaringan kampus untuk mengerjakan, mengumpulkan tugas, mengerjakan ujian merasa terganggu yang mendapat bandwitch sangat sedikit dari segi upload maupun transfer data.
