PERBANDINGAN LAJU INFILTRASI PADA DAERAH RAWAN BANJIR DAN NON BANJIR DI JALAN KARIUNGAU DAN JALAN SINAR MAS LAND BOULEVARD DI KOTA BALIKPAPAN

Changes in land use in the city of Balikpapan on the catchment area due to construction for the development, industries and urban facilities are estimated to have disrupted the hydrological cycle chain, namely inhibiting the entry of rainwater into the soil (infiltration). The rapid development of the city still cannot be matched by the development of adequate drainage facilities and infrastructure. The intensity of rain affects the opportunity for water to enter the soil, the more water that enters the soil, the greater the soil water content. This study aims to determine the value of infiltration rate, water content and soil classification at Jalan Sinar Mas Land Boulervad and Jalan Kariangau. Measurement of the infiltration rate in the field using a double ring infiltrometer which is plugged into the soil then the ring is filled with water to the upper line limit. Observations of water level subsidence were measured every 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 minutes. Infiltration rate measurements were carried out by plugging and excavating at each research location. The results showed that the measurement of the infiltration rate at Jalan Sinar Mas Land Boulervard at point I was 4.33 cm/hour, at point II was 5.21 cm/hour, and at point III was 4.60 cm/hour at Jalan Kariangau at point I was 1 .48 cm/hour, at point II at 2.08 cm/hour, and at point III at 1.78 cm/hour. The water content value at Jalan Sinar Mas Land Boulervard at point I was 18.94%, at point II was 17.09% and at point III was 17.81% at Jalan Kariangau the water content value at point I was 30.89% at point II was 34 0.08% and in point III of 29.87%. The soil at the research site can be classified as SP, which means that the soil is poorly graded sand, gravel sand, little or no fine grain Perubahan tata guna tanah di kota Balikpapan daerah resapan akibat pembangunan untuk pengembangan permukiman, industri dan fasilitas perkotaan diperkirakan telah mengganggu rantai siklus hidrologi yaitu menghambat masuknya air hujan kedalam tanah (infiltrasi). Perkembangan kota yang pesat masih belum bisa diimbangin dengan pembangunan sarana dan prasarana drainase yang memadai. Intensitas hujan berpengaruh terhadap kesempatan masuknya air ke dalam tanah, semakin banyak air yang masuk kedalam tanah maka semakin besar kandungan air tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai laju infiltrasi, kadar air dan klasifikasi tanah di lokasi Jalan Sinar Mas Land Boulervad dan Jalan Kariangau. Pengukuran laju infiltrasi dilapangan menggunakan alat double ring infiltrometer yang di tancapkan kedalam tanah kemudian ring di isi air sampai batas garis atas. Pengamatan penurunan muka air diukur tiap selang waktu 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, dan 60 menit Pengukuran laju infiltrasi dilakukan dengan cara ditancap dan digali pada masing-masing lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengukuran laju infiltrasi pada Jalan Sinar Mas Land Boulervard dititik I sebesar 4,33 cm/jam, dititik II sebesar 5,21 cm/jam, dan dititik III sebesar 4,60 cm/jam pada Jalan Kariangau dititik I sebesar 1,48 cm/jam, dititik II sebesar 2,08 cm/jam, dan dititik III sebesar 1,78 cm/jam. Nilai kadar air pada Jalan Sinar Mas Land Boulervard dititik I sebesar 18,94%, dititik II sebesar 17,09% dan dititik III sebesar 17,81% pada lokasi Jalan Kariangau nilai kadar air dititik I sebesar 30,89% dititik II sebesar 34,08% dan dititik III sebesar 29,87%. Tanah pada lokasi penelitian dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai SP yang diartikan bahwa tanah tersebut pasir bergradasi buruk, pasir berkerikil, sedikit atau sama sekali tidak mengandung butiran halus.
