PEMBUATAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN DALAM PENENTUAN DOSEN PEMBIMBING TUGAS AKHIR DI POLITEKNIK NEGERI BALIKPAPAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

The selection of the right final project supervisor is very influential with the final result of the final project. In determining the final project supervisor, you must pay close attention to the suitability between the supervisors field of expertise and the theme of the final project proposed by the student. Lecturers who have expertise by the themes taken by students will facilitate consultation during the guidance process. The system that is suitable for the selection of the final project supervisor is the Decision Support System with the Profile Matching method. Profile Matching assumes that there is an ideal predictor value that must be achieved, not a minimum value that must be passed, so this method is very suitable if used for the matching process. Making this system begins with determining the profile of the supervisor needed, that will be used to determine the criteria for the supervisor, make the flow of the application, database design, user interface design, the last is to build an application with the PHP programming language and MySQL. The results of this final project indicate that the system created has succeeded in choosing a supervisor who is in accordance by the theme taken by students, with an accuracy rate of 100% between the suitability of manual calculations and system calculations. This is evidenced by comparing the manual calculation process with the system that has been created, where the ranking results show the same results. Pemilihan dosen pembimbing tugas akhir yang tepat sangatlah berpengaruh dengan hasil akhir dari tugas akhir tersebut. Dalam penentuan dosen pembimbing tugas akhir haruslah sangat memperhatikan kesesuaian antara bidang keahlian dosen pembimbing dengan tema tugas akhir yang diajukan oleh mahasiswa. Dosen yang memiliki keahlian yang sesuai dengan tema yang diambil oleh mahasiswa akan memudahkan konsultasi pada saat proses bimbingan. Sistem yang cocok untuk pemilihan dosen pembimbing tugas akhir adalah Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dengan metode Profile Matching. Profile Matching mengasumsikan bahwa terdapat nilai prediktor ideal yang harus dicapai, bukan nilai minimum yang harus dilewati, sehingga metode ini sangatlah cocok jika digunakan untuk proses pencocokan. Pembuatan sistem ini diawali dengan menentukan profil dosen pembimbing yang dibutuhkan, penentuan profil dosen pembimbing akan digunakan untuk menentukan kriteria dosen pembimbing, selanjutnya adalah membuat alur dari aplikasi, desain basis data, desain user interface, dan yang terakhir adalah membangun aplikasi dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan MySQL. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dibuat telah berhasil memilih dosen pembimbing yang sesuai dengan tema yang diambil oleh mahasiswa, dengan tingkat akurasi 100% antara kecocokan perhitungan manual dengan perhitungan sistem. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan membandingkan antara proses perhitungan manual dengan sistem yang telah dibuat, dimana hasil nilai ranking menunjukkan hasil yang sama
