TUGAS AKHIR PENGARUH STYROFOAMSEBAGAI BAHAN PENGGANTI AGREGAT KASAR TERHADAP KUAT TARIK BELAH BETON RINGAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Concrete is a mixture of cement, coarse agregate, fine agregate, and water with or without additional ingredient that forms a solid mass. The addition of styrofoam waste mixture material is intended to make the concrete lighter. The method used is an experimental method, in this case includes robust testing materials and testing concrete. Specimets used in the form of a cylinder with the size of diameter 15 cm and height 30 cm with sample of 9 pieces with age 28 day with reference SNI 03-6882-2002. Tensile strength research results were obtained from styrofoam waste material in lieu of coarse agregat at 28 days with percentage 0%, 0.5%, and 1% as follows: percentage 0% is 2.68 Mpa, percentage of 0.5% is 1.46 Mpa, and than percentage of 1% is 0.89 Mpa. On the tensile strength of concrete using the resulting waste styrofoam quality is very low. Beton adalah campuran antara semen, agregat kasar, agregat halus, dan air, serta dengan atau tanpa bahan campuran tambahan yang membentuk massa padat. Penambahan bahan campuran limbah styrofoamdimaksudkan agar beton tersebut menjadi lebih ringan. Metode yang dipakai adalah metode eksperimen, dalam hal ini meliputi pengujian bahan pengujian kuat tarik beton. Benda uji yang digunakan berupa silinder dengan ukuran diameter 15 cm dan tinggi 30 cm dengan sampel sebanyak 9 buah dengan umur 28 hari dengan acuan SNI 03-6882-2002. Hasil penelitian kuat tarik belah didapatkan dari material limbah styrofoam sebagai pengganti dari agregat kasar pada umur 28 hari dengan presentase 0%, 0.5%, dan 1% sebagai berikut: presentase 0% sebesar 2.68 Mpa, presentase 0.5% sebesar 1.46 Mpa, dan presentase 1% sebesar 0.89 Mpa. Pada kuat tarik belah beton yang menggunakan limbah styrofoam mutu yang dihasilkan sangat rendah.
