Rancang Bangun Special Tool Measurement Valve Spring Pada Engine SAA6D125-Komatsu Berbasis Mikrokontroller

Abstrak (Abstracts)

The valve system is a system which has function to open and close the air valve either side of the intake or the other intake. The opening and closing of the valve must be in the right time, therefore the combustion process runs properly and there is no component damage from the one component collision with the other. Valve spring lifts the valve up against the valve seat when its closing. Valve spring also works to restore rocker arm, push rod and tappet to their normal position quickly. A spring valve made from steel wire rolls. Two or more spring can be combined into one movement mechanism a single valve. Two springs are often used with the outer spring and the inner spring (inner spring). The springs are set in opposite directions so that they do not grip one another when they are bent or vibrate. The measuring on the spring valve when it overhaule the engine is Installed length dan Installed Load. However, those measures were not made because of the absence of a tool that could be used to measure the spring valve on a mechanical engineering workshop and it were only done visually so that it could not be measured up and it was not suitable with the standard and did not get the correct results. Therefore, the researcher made a special tool, measurement valve spring based on mikrokontroller which can be used to measure up to the spring valve. For this special tool that has been devised, there is a micro-control troller that later will be able to automatically work on the spring valve measurement. This tool uses some components such as: arduino uno, load cells, ultrasonic sensors, selector switches, push buttons, LCD, motor driver l298n, actuators and later it will be given electric energy through adapter. Valve system merupakan sebuah system yang berfungsi untuk membuka dan menutup valve udara baik sisi intake maupun sisi exhaustnya. Pembukaan dan penutupan valve haruslah tepat pada waktunya, agar proses pembakaran berjalan dengan semestinya dan tidak terjadi kerusakan komponen akibat benturan komponen satu dengan yang lain. Valve spring mengangkat valve hingga merapat pada valve seat saat valve sedang menutup. Valve spring juga bekerja mengembalikan rocker arm, push rod dan tappet ke posisi normal dengan cepat. Valve spring terbuat dari gulungan kawat baja. Dua atau lebih spring dapat dikombinasikan menjadi satu untuk mekanisme pergerakan satu buah valve. Dua buah spring sering digunakan yang terdiri dari spring bagian luar (outer spring) dan spring bagian dalam (inner spring). Kedua buah spring tersebut dipasang secara berlawanan bertujuan agar kedua buah spring tersebut tidak saling menjepit pada saat keduanya bengkok atau mengalami getaran. Pengukuran pada valve spring saat di lakukan overhaule engine yaitu Installed length dan Installed Load. Tetapi pada pengukuran tersebut tidak dilakukan dikarenakan tidak adanya alat yang bisa digunakan untuk mengukur spring valve pada workshop Teknik Mesin dan hanya dilakukan secara visual sehingga tidak sesuai standard dan tidak mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai. Oleh karena itu, penulis membuat special tool measurement valve spring berbasis mikrokontroller yang nantinya dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pengukuran pada valve spring. Pada special tool yang dibuat ini berbasis mikrokontroller yang nantinya alat tersebut dapat bekerja dengan otomatis dalam melakukan pengukuran valve spring. Dalam alat ini menggunakan beberapa komponen, yaitu arduino uno, sensor load cell, sensor ultrasonic, selector switch, push button, LCD, driver motor L298N, actuator dan nantinya akan diberikan energy listrik melalui adaptor
