PENGARUH BAHAN TAMBAH CHEMICAL ADMIXTURE TIPE A TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN BETON

Integral waterproof concrete is concrete that is given a mixture of chemical admixture to obtain waterproof or watertight properties. With these properties, concrete can have several advantages to be used according to its needs. The addition of chemical admixture can increase the compressive strength of concrete or even decrease its compressive strength value when used without proper dosage. This study was conducted to determine the slump value and compressive strength of concrete by adding a type A chemical admixture mixture to 15 test objects in five variations of the mixture percentage and 28-day test object treatment. As a reference for this study, it is inseparable from supporting data such as aggregate filter analysis, specific gravity and absorption, aggregate content weight check, aggregate moisture content check, aggregate sludge content inspection, proportion of concrete mixture (Mix Design), fresh concrete mortar melting (Slump), and concrete compressive strength test. Testing the compressive strength of concrete using a CTM (Compression Testing Machine) test equipment located in the Materials Laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering, Balikpapan State Polytechnic. The slump value obtained from all variations of concrete has an average of 64.6 mm which means it is included in the plan specification which is 60 – 180 mm. The weight of concrete content in the mix design is valued at 2337 kg / m3 and the average value of the weight of concrete content produced from this study is valued at 2319 kg / m3. Meanwhile, the results obtained in each concrete variation of 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% respectively had average values of 17.36 MPa, 14.53 MPa, 19.06 MPa, 16.80 MPa and 15.85 MPa. There was the highest increase in mixed concrete of 1% variation by 9.78% coMPared to normal concrete or unmixed concrete. This study proved that the dose of use of chemical admixture type A has the greatest effect on the mixture of 1% of the weight of cement with a cement water factor control of <0.45. In all variations of concrete, it does not enter the concrete quality plan specification of 35 MPa, but meets the normal concrete specifications referring to SNI 03-1974-1990 whose compressive strength values range from 15 – 30 MPa. Beton waterproof integral adalah beton yang diberi campuran chemical admixture untuk mendapatkan sifat kedap air atau watertight. Dengan adanya sifat tersebut, beton dapat memiliki beberapa keunggulan untuk digunakan sesuai kebutuhannya. Penambahan chemical admixture dapat menambah kekuatan tekan beton atau bahkan menurunkan nilai kuat tekannya apabila digunakan tanpa dosis yang tepat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai slump dan kuat tekan beton dengan penambahan campuran chemical admixture tipe A pada 15 benda uji dalam lima variasi persentase campuran dan perawatan benda uji 28 hari. Sebagai acuan penelitian ini, tidak terlepas dari data-data pendukung seperti analisis saringan agregat, berat jenis dan penyerapan, pemeriksaan berat isi agregat, pemeriksaan kadar air agregat, pemeriksaan kadar lumpur agregat, proporsi campuran beton (Mix Design), kelecekan adukan beton segar (Slump), dan uji kuat tekan beton. Pengujian kuat tekan beton menggunakan alat uji CTM (Compression Testing Machine) yang berada di Laboratorium Bahan Jurusan Teknik Sipil Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. Nilai slump yang didapatkan dari seluruh variasi beton memiliki rata-rata 64,6 mm yang berarti masuk ke dalam spesifikasi rencana yaitu 60 – 180 mm. Berat isi beton pada mix design bernilai 2337 kg/m3 dan nilai rata-rata berat isi beton yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini bernilai sebesar 2319 kg/m3. Sedangkan hasil yang didapatkan pada masing-masing variasi beton 0%, 0,5%, 1%, 1,5% dan 2% secara berturut-turut memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 17,36 MPa, 14,53 MPa, 19,06 MPa, 16,80 MPa dan 15,85 MPa. Terjadi kenaikan tertinggi pada beton campuran variasi 1% sebesar 9,78% dibandingkan beton normal atau beton tanpa campuran. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dosis penggunaan chemical admixture tipe A berpengaruh paling besar pada campuran 1% dari berat semen dengan kontrol faktor air semen sebesar <0,45. Pada seluruh variasi beton tidak masuk ke spesifikasi rencana mutu beton sebesar 35 MPa, namun memenuhi spesifikasi beton normal yang mengacu pada SNI 03-1974-1990 yang nilai kuat tekannya berkisar antara 15 – 30 MPa.
