ANALISA PENYEBAB TERJADINYA JAMMED PADA TRACK ADJUSTER PADA UNIT EXCAVATOR CATERPILLAR 320-GC DI PT. GALANGAN ALIRAN JAYA

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Excavator is one of the heavy equipment that uses an undercarriage drive. The undercarriage is the lower part of an excavator that functions to hold the load, direct and as a support for the propulsion unit of the excavator digging the ground (digging), loading materials into trucks (loading), lifting materials. The use of excavators in the current company has an effect on productivity. If the unit is experiencing problems it will greatly affect the productivity of the company. The author is interested in analyzing the causes of jammed on the track adjuster on the Caterpillar 320-GC excavator unit in order to find out the cause of jammed on the track adjuster. This type of research is a field research that aims to determine the cause of jammed on the track adjuster on the 320-GC excavator unit. At the beginning, it was known that there was jammed on the track adjuster when making track adjustments. Then there is noise on the left side of the idler. The cause of the jammed on the track adjuster is because the recoil spring is broken which results in the adjustment of the track housing cylinder being held back by a broken recoil spring. The recoil spring is broken due to the unit doing extra mobility when doing productivity in the field. As a result of the resulting damage to components such as idlers. So it is necessary to make several efforts so that these problems do not recur, namely: always carrying out daily P2H maintenance and inspection programs, reducing unit mobility, making track adjustments according to the shop manual, maintaining unit cleanliness, making covers or protectors for recoil springs. Excavator adalah salah satu alat berat yang menggunakan penggerak undercarriage. Undercarriage adalah bagian bawah dari sebuah exacavator yang berfungsi untuk menahan beban, mengarahkan dan sebagai pendukung untuk unit penggerak dari excavator kegunaan excavator tidak terbatas pada pengerukan saja. Beberapa fungsi excavator antara lain: menggali tanah (digging), memuat material ke truk (loading), mengangkat material. Penggunaan excavator pada perusahaan saat berpengaruh untuk produktivitas. Jika unit tersebut mengalami masalah maka akan sangat mempengaruhi terhadap produktivitas perusahaan. Penulis tertarik untuk melakukan analisa penyebab terjadinya jammed pada track adjuster pada unit excavator Caterpillar 320-GC agar mengetahui penyebab terjadinya jammed pada track adjuster. Jenis penelitian ini adalah field research yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya jammed pada track adjuster pada unit excavator 320-GC. Awal mula diketahui terjadi jammed pada track adjuster pada saat melakukan adjustment track. Lalu terjadi noise pada idler bagian sebelah kiri. Penyebab terjadinya jammed pada track adjuster karena recoil spring patah yang mengakibatkan pada saat adjustmen track houshing cylinder tertahan oleh patahan recoil spring. Recoil spring patah diakibatkan karena unit melakukan mobilitas extra saat melakukan produktifitas di lapangan. Akibat dampak yang ditimbulkan merusak komponen-komponen seperti idler. Maka perlu melakukan beberapa upaya agar permasalahan tersebut tidak terulang kembali yaitu: selalu melakukan program perawatan dan pemeriksaan harian P2H, mengurangi mobilitas unit, melakukan adjustment track sesuai dengan shop manual, menjaga kebersihan unit, membuat cover atau pelindung untuk recoil spring.
