ANALISIS PENYEBAB TERJADINYA LOW POWER PADA ENGINE D6R CATERPILLAR DZ-13 DI PT MALINDO MANDIRI MAKMUR SITE PT BORNEO INDOBARA

Bulldozer is one of the heavy equipment that has functions to dig, push/shift mining material and use a ripper as a tool to break rocks, pull, and destroy the ground surface. Therefore, the bulldozer is also an important tool in mining activities because of its reliability. On the bulldozer, there are various systems, one of which is the fuel system. The fuel system has a function to provide clean fuel at the right combustion time (injection timing) and adjust the amount of fuel (fuel delivery) according to the required engine speed/hoursepower. Now that, caring must be taken to avoid severe damage to the bulldozer. When doing research at PT. Malindo Mandiri Makmur Site PT. Indobara Borneo, the researcher found a problem with one of the D6R bulldozer units having a problem, namely low power. To find the cause of the problem, the researcher collect evidence to obtain conclusions about the causes of problems that occur in bulldozers through the methods of observation, documentation, interviews, references and then analyzed. After the analysis, it is known the cause of low power where nozzles no. 4 and 6 do not function normally, so the engine experiences low power. In order to minimize the problem so that the problem does not occur again, the mechanics carry out the repair process properly, every time they do the installation, adjustments are made according to standards and do maintenance according to the shop manual. Bulldozer merupakan salah satu alat berat yang berfungsi untuk pekerjaan menggali, mendorong/menggeser material pertambangan dan juga menggunakan ripper sebagai alat untuk memecah batu, menarik, dan menghancurkan permukaan tanah. Selain itu, bulldozer merupakan alat yg penting dalam kegiatan pertambangan karena kehandalannya. Pada bulldozer terdapat berbagai system dimana salah satunya yakni system bahan bakar. Fuel system memiliki fungsi untuk memberikan bahan bakar yang bersih pada waktu pembakaran yang tepat (injection timing) dan mengatur jumlah bahan bakar (fuel delivery) sesuai kebutuhan putaran engine/hoursepower yang di perlukan, sehingga harus diperhatikan betul-betul agar tidak terjadi kerusakan parah pada bulldozer. Saat melakukan penelitian di PT. Malindo Mandiri Makmur Site PT. Borneo Indobara. Penulis menemukan masalah pada salah satu Unit bulldozer D6R yakni mengalami masalah yaitu low power. Untuk menemukan penyebab masalah tersebut, penulis mengumpulkan bukti untuk memperoleh kesimpulan tentang penyebab masalah yang terjadi pada bulldozer melalui metode observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, referensi kemudian di analisis. Setelah di analisis di ketahui penyebab low power dimana nozzel no 4 dan 6 tidak berfungsi dengan normal, sehingga engine mengalami low power. Untuk meminimalisir agar masalah tidak terjadi lagi, mekanik melakukan proses perbaikan dengan baik. Setiap melakukan pemasangan dilakukan adjustment sesuai standar dan lakukan maintenance sesuai shop manual.
