ANALISIS PENYEBAB ABNORMAL ENGINE NOISE UNIT EXCAVATOR DOOSAN DX520LCA DI PT MALINDO MANDIRI MAKMUR SITE PT BORNEO INDOBARA

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Heavy equipment used in mining has various types according to its function and application. One of the most popular heavy equipment in Indonesia is dominated by excavators. This type of unit is used for a wide variety of mining jobs. This paper discusses the problem that occurs in the engine unit of the Doosan DX520LCA excavator, namely abnormal engine noise, which interferes with the units performance when operating. The occurrence of an abnormality in the engine must of course be immediately addressed and the main problem sought so as not to spread and trigger damage to other important components. Data were collected using the observation method, namely direct observation of problems that occur in the DX520LCA unit, by checking and measuring engine components related to abnormal noise and taking engine oil samples. The author also takes data with documentation, namely collecting data. The author also conducted interviews with operators to get more information to make it easier to analyze the trouble that was happening. The method used in solving this problem is to apply eight troubleshooting steps and data collection techniques, namely field reserch. From the analysis, it is concluded that the cause of abnormal engine noise problems in the DX520LCA unit is wear on the piston and cylinder liner and also low oil viscosity so that the oil cannot lubricate properly and result in over clearance of the piston and cylinder liner. Alat berat yang digunakan pada pertambangan memiliki berbagai jenis sesuai dengan fungsi dan aplikasinya. Salah satu alat berat yang paling popular di Indonesia di dominasi oleh excavator. Jenis unit ini yang digunakan untuk berbagai macam pekerjaan pertambangan. Tulisan ini membahas masalah yang terjadi pada engine unit excavator Doosan DX520LCA yaitu abnormal engine noise, sehingga menggangu kinerja unit ketika beroperasi. Terjadinya ke abnormalan pada engine tersebut tentunya harus segera diatasi dan dicari masalah utamanya agar tidak menyebar dan memicu kerusakan pada komponen- komponen penting lainnya. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode obsevasi yaitu melakukan pengamatan langsung permasalahan yang terjadi pada unit DX520LCA, dengan melakukan pemeriksaan dan pengukuran pada komponen – komponen engine terkait abnormal noise serta pengembilan sampel oli mesin. Penulis juga mengambil data dengan dokumentasi yaitu mengumpulkan data. Penulis juga melakukan wawancara kepada operator untuk mendapat kan informasi lebih agar mempermudah menganalisa trouble yang sedang terjadi. Metode yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah ini adalah dengan menerapkan delapan langkah troubleshooting dan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu field reserch . Dari hasil analisa disimpulkan bahwa penyebab timbulnya masalah abnormal engine noise pada unit DX520LCA adalah keausan pada piston dan cylinder liner dan juga viskositas oli yang rendah sehingga oli tidak dapat melumasi dengan baik dan mengakibatkan over clearance pada piston dan cylinder liner
