ANALISA PENYEBAB NO PRESSURE FEED BY FUEL SUPPLY PUMP ENGINE SA6D140E-3 PADA UNIT KOMATSU WHEEL LOADER WA500-3 DI PT. CAKRAWALA PUTRA BERSAMA STOCKPILE RANTAU – TATAKAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

This research is aimed at finding out: (1) to know the causes of problem no pressure feed by fuel supply pump engine model SA6D140E-3 unit WA500-3 (2) how to cope for contend no pressure feed by fuel supply pump engine model SA6D140E-3 unit WA500-3. And (3) how to cope for prevent no pressure feed by fuel supply pump engine model SA6D140E-3 unit WA500-3 in order did not happen again. The method which was applied in this research was field research. The researcher did directly observation study, by using collecting either primary or secondary data and also other information related to the issue discussed. The researcher did this research in PT Cakrawala Putra Bersama. This research began to be carried out on September 28th until November 30th 2016. In this final project report, the researcher collected data in the form results of observations, measurements and photos documentation. Based on the results of research and analysis, the reseacher concluded that the problem of no pressure feed by fuel supply pump occured due to fuel being used was not good, then enter into the fuel system without passing a strainer because there were not strainer in the fuel tank. Therefore, the damage to the fuel supply pump that caused engine performance decreased. The fuel used was not good, it was reinforced from the results of the fuel samples taken at the unit WA500-3 WL 58. There are some ways to troubleshoot no pressure feed by fuel supply pump consist of making improvements by replacing the component supply pump assy. Then, replace the fuel filter in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Last, a typical analysis for strainer that were not can be installed a new typical analysis for strainer. One way to prevent no pressure feed by fuel supply pump is to use fuel that was previously in the filter before entering into the fuel tank. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk : (1) mengetahui penyebab no pressure feed by fuel supply pump engine SA6D140E-3 di unit WA500-3 (2) Bagaimana cara mengatasi no pressure feed by fuel supply pump engine model SA6D140E-3 di unit WA500-3. Dan (3) Bagaimana cara mencegah no pressure feed by fuel supply pump engine model SA6D140E-3 di unit WA500-3 agar tidak terjadi lagi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi di lapangan. Penulis terlibat langsung dalam penelitian di lapangan, dengan mengumpulkan data primer maupun sekunder atau informasi lain yang terkait dengan masalah yang dibahas. Penulis melakukan penelitian ini di PT Cakrawala Putra Bersama. Penelitian mulai dilaksanakan tanggal 28 September – 30 November 2016. Dalam menyusun laporan tugas akhir ini, penulis mengumpulkan data berupa data observasi, dokumentasi foto dan pengukuran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisa, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa no pressure feed by fuel supply pump terjadi disebabkan karena adanya fuel yang digunakan tidak baik, kemudian masuk kedalam fuel system tanpa melewati strainer karena strainer pada fuel tank tidak ada. Sehingga terjadi kerusakan pada fuel supply pump yang menyebabkan engine performance menurun. Fuel yang digunakan tidak baik ini diperkuat dari hasil sample solar yang diambil pada unit WA500-3 WL 58. Ada beberapa cara untuk mengatasi masalah no pressure feed by supply pump adalah melakukan perbaikan dengan mengganti komponen supply pump assy. Kemudian, mengganti fuel filter yang sesuai dengan rekomendasi pabrik. Terakhir, strainer yang tidak ada dipasang strainer baru. Salah satu cara untuk mencegah no pressure feed by fuel supply pump adalah dengan menggunakan fuel yang di filter sebelum masuk kedalam fuel tank.
