Analisa kebocoran power steering unit ottawa kalmar head truck di pelabuhan terminal petikemas pt. Kaltim kariangau terminal
Abstrak (Abstracts)
The Ottawa Kalmar Head Truck is a unit that functions to transport containers containing various kinds of goods from ships and then brought to the container port terminal field and this unit is only available at the container port terminal. Because this unit operates every day at the container port terminal. During On Job Training (OJT), the author found a problem with the Ottawa Kalmar Head Truck unit with hull number HT-01 at PT. Kaltim Kariangau Terminal, the author found that there had been a leak in the TAS65102A power steering on the Ottawa Kalmar Head Truck unit. As is known, the power steering has a function to lighten the energy needed to turn the steering wheel, especially at low speeds and adjust it at medium and high speeds when turning. If there is a problem with the power steering, it will certainly cause the unit to have trouble operating. If this problem is not immediately addressed, it will disrupt the effectiveness and productivity of the company. The problems found by the author when performing a visual check were the occurrence of leaks in the power steering seal, leaks in the steering hose, and decreased oil capacity in the reservoir tank to determine the cause of the leak, the authors disassembled the power steering and collected evidence of leakage through several methods of observation, reference, and documentation. From the evidence collected by the author, finally the cause of the trouble was found to be a leak in the steering hose, an error in the installation of the ball bearing, and an error in tightening the power steering that did not follow the torque chart. This happens because when the unit is used, component replacement is not carried out and forces the unit to continue operating when several components are leaking. Ottawa Kalmar Head Truck merupakan unit yang berfungsi untuk mengangkut container yang berisi berbagai macam barang dari kapal lalu dibawa ke lapangan terminal pelabuhan petikemas dan unit ini hanya terdapat di terminal pelabuhan petikemas. Karena unit ini beropersi setiap hari di terminal pelabuhan petikemas. Selama melakukan On Job Training (OJT), penulis menemukan adanya permasalahan pada unit Ottawa Kalmar Head Truck dengan nomor lambung HT-01 di PT. Kaltim Kariangau Terminal, penulis menemukan telah terjadi kebocoran pada power steering TAS65102A pada unit Ottawa Kalmar Head Truck. Seperti diketahui power steering memiliki fungsi untuk memperingan tenaga yang dibutuhkan untuk memutarkan kemudi terutama pada kecepatan rendah dan menyesuaikannya pada kecepatan menengah serta tinggi saat berbelok. Jika terjadi masalah pada power steering tentu menyebabkan unit dapat trouble dalam pengoperasiannya. Apabila masalah ini tidak segera ditangani akan mengganggu efektivitas dan produktivitas perusahaan. Permasalahan yang ditemukan oleh penulis saat melakukan pengecekan visual adalah terjadinya kebocoran seal pada power steering , kebocoran hose steering, dan kapasitas oli menurun yang terdapat pada reservoir tank untuk mengetahui penyebab kebocoran tersebut, maka penulis melakukan disassembly pada power steering dan mengumpulkan bukti-bukti kebocoran melalui beberapa metode dari observasi, refrensi, dan dokumentasi. Dari bukti yang dikumpulkan penulis, akhirnya diperoleh penyebab trouble adalah terjadinya kebocoran pada hose steering, kesalahan pemasangan pada ball bearing, dan kesalahan pada pengencangan power steering yang tidak mengikuti torque chart. Hal tersebut terjadi karena pada saat unit digunakan tidak dilakukan penggantian komponen dan memaksakan unit untuk tetap beroperasi disaat ada beberapa komponen yang mengalami kebocoran.Keyword : Ottawa Kalmar Head Truck, Power Steering, Maintenance
