UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PHYSICAL AVAILABILITY PADA UNIT PC 4000-6 BERDASARKAN PROSES PERIODIC SERVICE DAN BACKLOG DI PT. UNITED TRACTORS SITE ADARO

Physical Availability is the availability of the units to ready to use calculated for one month of work in the form of percent. At the time of On the Job Training, the author finds going decline in Physical Availability on units PC 4000-6 of 2 units. Where the problem is not the achievement of PA (Physical Availability) in quite some time so that production did not reach its target. It was found that PA targets determined by the company that is 89% but, what happens is the PA did not reach the target. In June and July so that the performance of the PA has decreased on average only reaches 56.03% and 15.33% in unit EXKM 41003. . Therefore, the research was conducted to determine the decrease of Physical Availability value and how to improve it. To determine the cause of the declining value of the Physical Availability and efforts to improve it, do research by observation and documentation of the process of periodic service and backlog by looking at the Master Database FMC. From the data, it is known that the cause of the decrease of physical availability value is from total downtime unit based on breakdown schedule, breakdown unschedule, and availability of support tools when doing job periodic service or backlog. While efforts to increase the value of Physical availability can be done with 4 ways namely, handling periodic service and backlog through the optimization of man power, handling incomplete tool via Tool- ordering tool and support units damaged through mediation with the customer to perform service and regular inspections, conduct recruitment to add employees as a support tool carriers, as well as provide training to mechanics to improve the ability to work in operating tool support , and to provide a temporary rest time place when during the periodic service rain Physical Availability merupakan ketersediaan unit untuk siap digunakan yang dihitung selama satu bulan pekerjaan dalam bentuk persen. Pada saat melakukan On the Job Training, penulis menemukan terjadi penurunan nilai Physical Availability pada unit PC 4000-6 yang berjumlah 2 unit. Dimana masalahnya adalah tidak tercapainya PA (Physical Availability) dalam beberapa waktu sehingga kegiatan produksi tidak mencapai targetnya. Ditemukan bahwa PA target yang ditentukan oleh perusahaan yaitu 89%, namun yang terjadi adalah PA tersebut tidak mencapai targetnya Pada bulan Juni dan Juli mengalami penurunan kinerja sehingga PA rata-rata hanya mencapai 56,03% dan 15,33% pada unit EXKM 41003. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui menurunnya nilai Physical Availability serta cara untuk meningkatkannya. Untuk mengetahui penyebab menurunnya nilai Physical Availability serta upaya untuk meningkatkannya, dilakukan penelitian dengan cara observasi dan dokumentasi terhadap proses periodic service dan backlog dengan melihat data Master Database FMC. Dari data tersebut,diketahui penyebab menurunnya nilai physical availability adalah dari total downtime unit berdasarkan breakdown schedule, breakdown unschedule, dan ketersediaan alat support saat melakukan job periodic service maupun backlog. Sedangkan upaya untuk meningkatkan nilai Physical availability tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan 4 cara yaitu, Penanganan periodic service dan backlog melalui pengoptimalan man power, penanganan tool kurang lengkap melalui pengorderan tool- tool dan alat support rusak melalui mediasi dengan customer untuk melakukan service dan inspeksi secara rutin, melakukan recruitment untuk menambah karyawan sebagai operator alat support, serta memberi pelatihan kepada mekanik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bekerja dalam mengoperasikan alat support, dan memberi tempat rest time sementara ketika saat elakukan periodic service terjadi hujan.
