ANALISIS LAJU INFILTRASI TERHADAP SIFAT FISIK TANAH PADA DAERAH RAWAN BANJIR DENGAN METODE HORTON DAN KOSTIAKOV DI KELURAHAN DAMAI KOTA BALIKPAPAN

Damai Subdistrict is one of the flood-prone areas, and one of the factors that causes floods is rainfall. High rainfall can significantly affect the ability of water to infiltrate into the ground. Therefore, there is a need for infiltration sources in several areas to indicate that water entering the saturated zone will flow to lower areas. This study aims to determine the infiltration rate value concerning the physical properties of the soil in Damai Sub-district, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The research was conducted for 3 days at 3 locations, and at each location, there was one testing point, from which 1 soil sample was collected after the three tests. The analysis of the infiltration rate was carried out using the actual infiltration rate method, Horton method, and Kostiakov method. The physical properties of the soil that will be discussed are soil classification using the USCS method, water content, and soil porosity.. The research results show that the average actual infiltration rate at the three locations, in sequence, is 2.4 cm/hour (moderate), 4.40 cm/hour (moderate), and 4.80 cm/hour (moderate). Furthermore, the average calculated infiltration rate using the Horton method at the three locations, in sequence, is 2.26 cm/hour (moderate), 4.14 cm/hour (moderate), and 4.52 cm/hour (moderate). Then, the average calculated infiltration rate using the Kostiakov method at the three locations, in sequence, is 4.44 cm/hour (moderate), 3.84 cm/hour (moderate), and 4.05 cm/hour (moderate). The soil type in all three locations is GP (Poorlygraded Gravel), which consists of poorly-graded gravel and a mixture of sand and gravel, with little or no fine particles. Kelurahan Damai merupakan salah satu daerah rawan banjir, salah satu hal yang menyebabkan banjir ialah curah hujan. Curah hujan yang cukup tinggi akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap daya serap aliran air untuk turun ke dasar tanah (infiltrasi), maka dari itu perlu adanya sumber resapan di beberapa daerah yang beguna untuk menandakan bahwa air yang masuk ke dalam zona jenuh air akan mengalir kedaerah yang lebih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai laju infiltrasi terhadap sifat fisik tanah pada Kelurahan Damai, Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 3 hari pada 3 lokasi, dan disetiap lokasi ada 1 titik pengujian yang dari ketiga kali pengujian tersebut akan diambil 1 sampel tanah. Analisis laju infiltrasi menggunakan metode laju infiltrasi aktual, metode Horton, dan metode Kostikov. Sifat fisik tanah yang akan dibahas yaitu klasifikasi tanah menggunakan metode USCS, kadar air, dan porositas tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai rata-rata aju infiltrasi aktual diketiga lokasi secara berurutan adalah 2.4 cm/jam (sedang), 4.40 cm/jam (sedang), dan 4.80 cm/jam (sedang). Selanjutnya Nilai rata-rata perhitungan laju infiltrasi dengan metode Horton diketiga lokasi secara berurutan adalah 2.26 cm/jam (sedang). 4.14 cm/jam (sedang) dan 4.52 cm/jam (sedang). Kemudain nilai ratarata perhitungan laju infiltrasi menggunakan metode Kostikov diketiga lokasi secara berurutan adalah 4.44 cm/jam (sedang), 3.84 cm/jam (sedang), dan 4.05 cm/jam (sedang). Dimana jenis tanah di ketiga lokasi adalah berupa GP (Poorlygraded Gravel) yang merupakan kerikil gradasi buruk dan campuran pasir-kerikil, sedikit atau tidak mengandung butiran halus
