ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN KUALITAS AIR BERSIH WATER TREATMENT PLANT PERUMAHAN DENGAN AIR PERUSAHAAN DAERAH AIR MINUM DI KOTA BALIKPAPAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Water is a vital source of livelihood for all living things on earth. The management of clean water services for the needs of the people of Balikpapan City is carried out by the Balikpapan City Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM), which is a company owned by the Balikpapan City government. However, many housing areas in Balikpapan City use water from a Water Treatment Plant (WTP). Comparison of the quality of PAP housing clean water with PDAM water was tested based on physical, chemical and biological parameters. Testing of physical, chemical and biological parameters follows the clean water quality standards according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 2 of 2023. Concerning Clean Water Quality Requirements. This test was carried out in the Laboratory to find out the results of the analysis of Prapatan, Regency WTP clean water and PDAM clean water. This study analyzes the comparison of the quality of clean water samples of residential with PDAM water by testing physical, chemical and biological parameters. The results obtained were for the physical parameters of smell, taste,turbidity, temperature, color and TDS testing to meet clean water quality standards, for chemical parameters the results obtained were for iron (Fe) testing of Prapatan WTP clean water samples containing iron metal of 0.654 mg /L did not meet the clean water quality standards, for pH, nitrate and nitrite testing the three samples met the clean water quality standards. While the laboratory test results for MPN Coliform biological parameters were analyzed from WTP Prapatan water 150 mg/L, WTP Regency TNTC, and PDAM 85 mg/L, while for E. Coli testing the results were analyzed from WTP Prapatan 6 mg/L, Regency WTP 0 mg/L, and PDAM 0 mg/L. Air merupakan salah satu sumber penghidupan yang vital bagi semua makhluk hidup di bumi. Pengelolaan pelayanan air bersih untuk kebutuhan masyarakat Kota Balikpapan dilaksanakan oleh Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kota Balikpapan yang merupakan perusahaan milik pemerintah Kota Balikpapan. Namun, banyak perumahan di Kota Balikpapan menggunakan air dari Water Treatment Plant (WTP). Perbandingan kualitas air bersih WTP Perumahan dengan air PDAM dilakukan pengujian berdasarkan parameter fisika, kimia, dan biologi. Pengujian parameter fisika, kimia, dan biologi mengikuti standar kualitas air bersih menurut Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia No. 2 Tahun 2023. Tentang Persyaratan Kualitas Air Bersih. Pengujian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium untuk mengetahui hasil analisa dari air bersih WTP Prapatan, Regency dan air bersih PDAM. Penelitian ini menganalisa perbandingan kualitas sampel air bersih WTP Perumahan dengan air PDAM dengan pengujian parameter fisika, kimia, dan biologi. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu untuk parameter fisika pengujian bau, rasa, kekeruhan, suhu, warna dan TDS memenuhi standar kualitas air bersih, untuk parameter kimia hasil yang didapatkan yaitu untuk pengujian besi (Fe) sampel air bersih WTP Prapatan terdapat kandungan logam besi sebesar 0,654 mg/L tidak memenuhi standar kualitas air bersih, untuk pengujian pH, nitrat, dan nitrit ketiga sampel memenuhi standar kualitas air bersih. Sedangkan hasil uji Laboratorium untuk parameter biologi MPN Coliform hasil analisa dari air WTP Prapatan 150 mg/L, WTP Regency TNTC, dan PDAM 85 mg/L, sedangkan untuk pengujian E. Coli hasil analisa dari air WTP Prapatan 6 mg/L, WTP Regency 0 mg/L, dan PDAM 0 mg/L.
