The development of android applications increased significantly. Android is the operating system of google and the nature of this operating system is open source, where users can see the application system code, therefore many android application developers, so android applications spread to various sectors, for example. In the world of education, many developers who create android program to facilitate in teaching and learning activities The purpose of this research is to create a final android based e-book application for smartphones. This application is designed as a tool in the final project for students of Balikpapan State Polytechnic. Perkembangan aplikasi android meningkat secara signifikan. Android merupakan sistem operasi dari google dan sifat sistem operasi ini yaitu opensource, yaitu pengguna bisa melihat kode dari sistem aplikasi tersebut, oleh sebab itu banyak bermunculan developer aplikasi android, sehingga aplikasi android tersebar ke berbagai macam sektor, contohnya dalam dunia pendididka, banyak developer yang membuat program android untuk mempermudah didalam kegiatan belajar dan mengjar Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu membuat sebuah aplikasi pengelola EBook Tugas Akhir berbasis android untuk smartphone. Aplikasi ini di rancang sebagai alat bantu dalam pengerjaan tugas akhir bagi mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan.Keyword : Android, Google, open source, Develope
