Alternatif pembuatan batu bata tanpa proses pembakaran

Bricks are artificial stone made of clay with or without mixed materials, dried in the sun for a few days then burned at high temperatures to harden and not crumble if immersed in water. Brick brick in general burned in waiting for combustion with high temperatures so that it can lead to increased carbon dioxide gas that can damage the environment it is necessary to find an alternative in producing good quality bricks to meet the conditions that have been determined. This research uses 3 variations of treatment of test specimens that is burned, dried and dioven as much as 9 pieces with 3 repetition of specimen in each variation. The dimensions of the specimens used are 230 mm x 110 mm x 50 mm with a mixture of material in the form of a volume mass ratio of 60% soil: 15% lime: 10% Ash husk: 5% sand: 10% Cement for test specimen is dried and diesel. The dried assay object has the lowest value of 7.929% compared to the test specimen burned and diesel ie 9,626% and 8,569%. The highest strength of brick press is for the variation of test specimens in the oven that is 28.98 kg / cm2. For variations of burned and dried large compressive strength is 9,285 kg / cm2 and 6,846 kg / cm2. Batu bata adalah batu buatan yang terbuat dari tanah liat dengan atau tanpa bahan campuran, dikeringkan dengan dijemur beberapa hari kemudian dibakar pada temperatur tinggi hingga mengeras dan tidak hancur jika direndam dalam air. Bata bata pada umunya dibakar pada tunggu pembakaran dengan suhu tinggi sehingga dapat mengakibatkan meningkatnya gas karbondioksida yang dapat merusak lingkungan maka perlu dicari alternatif dalam memproduksikan batu bata yang berkualitas baik dengan memenuhi syarat yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini mengunakan 3 variasi perlakuan benda uji yaitu dibakar, dikeringkan dan dioven sebanyak 9 buah dengan 3 pengulangan benda uji pada masing-masing variasi. Dimensi benda uji yang digunakan adalah 230 mm x 110 mm x 50 mm dengan campuran bahan berupa perbandingan volume massa yaitu 60% tanah: 15% kapur : 10% Abu Sekam : 5% pasir :10% Semen untuk benda uji dikeringkan dan dioven. Benda uji dikeringkan memiliki nilai terendah 7,929 % dibandingkan benda uji dibakar dan dioven yaitu 9,626 % dan 8,569 %. Nilai kuat tekan batu bata tertinggi adalah untuk variasi benda uji di oven yaitu 28.98 kg/cm2. Untuk variasi dibakar dan dikeringkan besar kuat tekan adalah 9,285 kg/cm2 dan 6.846 kg/cm2.
