PERUBAHAN TOPOGRAFI ANTARA TAHUN 2015 DENGAN TAHUN 2018 AKIBAT PERGERAKAN TANAH DI LOKASI LONGSOR GEDUNG DIREKTORAT POLITEKNIK NEGERI BALIKPAPAN

Balikpapan City with an area of 843.48 km² has geomorphological conditions consisting of beaches, lowlands, to hills with a slope and altitude between 0 to 100 meters from sea level. The dominance of the hills makes most of the area, namely 43.33% which has a slope class of 15% – 40% which is dominated by facies delta in the form of clay, sandstone, and loose quartz sand. Conditions like this that causes the vulnerability of landslides. This research was conducted to determine the change of topography and the volume of lost and buried soil at the location of landslide of Directorate of State Polytechnic of Balikpapan. The research method is done by doing literature study, primary data collection, data processing, comparison, analysis, up to conclusion and suggestion. The data used is the result of topographic measurement at the research location which will then be compared with the result from the secondary data of previous measurement and also the calculation of the volume with the mean transverse method. The result of the comparison between 2015 and 2018 topography resulted in contour change, there has been a landslide in the area behind the Directorate Building of Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. The result of the calculation of volumes by the mean cross-sectional method obtained the volume of lost soil, between 2015 to 2018 of 1995 m³ and the volume of land accumulated by 498 m³. there is a difference between the volume lost and the volume buried because not all lands in the landslide landslides towards landslide, there is also underground seepage ground, it occurs because the soil type of clay, sandstone, and quartz sand off. Kota Balikpapan dengan luas wilayah 843,48 km² memiliki kondisi geomorfologi yang terdiri dari pantai, dataran rendah, hingga perbukitan dengan kemiringan dan ketinggian antara 0 sampai dengan 100 meter dari permukaan laut. Dominasi wilayah perbukitan membuat sebagian besar wilayah, yaitu 43,33% yang mempunyai kelas kemiringan 15% – 40% yang didominasi oleh facies delta berupa batu lempung, batu pasir, serta pasir kuarsa lepas (loose materials). Kondisi seperti inilah yang menyebabkan rawan terjadinya longsor. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perubahan topografi dan volume tanah yang hilang maupun tertimbun di lokasi longsor Gedung Direktorat Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara melakukan studi pustaka, pengumpulan data primer, pengolahan data, perbandingan, analisa, sampai dengan kesimpulan dan saran. Data yang digunakan adalah hasil pengukuran topografi di lokasi penelitian yang kemudian akan dibandingkan dengan hasil dari data sekunder pengukuran sebelumnya dan juga perhitungan volume dengan metode melintang rata-rata. Hasil dari perbandingan antara topografi 2015 dengan 2018 menghasilkan perubahan kontur, telah terjadi longsor di area belakang Gedung Direktorat Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. Hasil dari perhitungan volume dengan metode melintang rata-rata diperoleh volume tanah yang hilang, antara tahun 2015 dengan tahun 2018 sebesar 1995 m³ dan volume tanah yang tertimbun sebanyak 498 m³. terdapat perbedaan antara volume yang hilang dengan volume yang tertimbun dikarenakan tidak semua tanah di daerah longsor mengalami longsor kearah longsoran, ada juga tanah yang mengalami rembesan ke bawah, hal itu terjadi karena tanah berjenis batu lempung, batu pasir, serta pasir kuarsa lepas.
