PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SERBUK LIMBAH GYPSUM TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN BATA RINGAN

Light brick is a brick that has a specific gravity lighter than brick in general. In this study the use of materials of waste gypsum powder added to increase the compressive strength at lightweight brick. This study used an experimental method with a total of 24 pieces of the test specimen. The test object consists of a lightweight brick with the addition of waste gypsum powder with a variation of 0%, 1%, 5% and 10% of the weight of the cement. Each type of light brick mixture made 3 specimen. Test specimen used was a cube with a size of 15x15x15 cm and conducted pressure tests at ages of 7 and 28 days. The effect of adding powder of gypsum waste to the brick BR0A light to the test object, BR1A, BR5A, BR10A at the age of 7 days, namely, 7,188 MPa, 7,566 MPa, 11,539 MPa, 7,377 MPa. For the test object BR0B, BR1B, BR5B, BR10B at 28 days is 7,624 MPa, 8,730 MPa 10,575 MPa 11,313 MPa. For the compressive strength lightweight brick a significant increase for each variation. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan bahan tambah serbuk limbah gypsum untuk menambah kuat tekan pada bata ringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan total benda uji 24 buah. Benda uji terdiri atas bata ringan dengan penambahan serbuk limbah gypsum dengan variasi 0%, 1%, 5% dan 10% terhadap berat semen. Setiap jenis campuran bata ringan dibuat 3 benda uji. Benda uji yang digunakan adalah kubus dengan ukuran 15x15x15 cm dan dilakukan uji tekan pada umur 7 dan 28 hari. Dari pengaruh penambahan serbuk limbah gypsum terhadap bata ringan untuk benda uji BR0A, BR1A, BR5A, BR10A pada umur 7 hari yaitu, 7,188 MPa, 7,566 MPa, 11,539 MPa, 7,377 MPa. Untuk benda uji BR0B, BR1B, BR5B, BR10B pada umur 28 hari yaitu 7,624 MPa, 8,730 MPa, 10,575 MPa, 11,313 MPa. Untuk nilai kuat tekan bata ringan terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan tiap variasinya.
