SPECIAL TOOL REMOVE AND INSTALL V- BELT PADA UNIT SCANIA P360 CB 6X4 EHZ DI PT. UNITED TRACKTORS, Tbk SITE JEMBAYAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

In the service process, it doesn’t only do oil changes or fillter replacement but also check other components. One of the components is checking or replacing components attached to the engine, namely the process of remove and v belt install. In the work of removing and installing the v belt on the unit “Scania P360 CB 6×4 EHZ” is done on the engine. When the process of mechanical positioning squatting on the side of the engine. However, working in a squatting position for too long can cause blood circulation is not circulated and curved spine therefore it gets tired quickly. As a effect, working mechanics often experience back pain, shoulders, waist and hand injuries. To overcome the problems above, the researcher made a special tool remove and install v belt, then knew the manufacturing process from a special tool and knew how to use it. The method used by the researcher was field research that includes observation, documentation and interviews. The design or of the special tool takes into account its safety, namely its dimensions, comfort and safety. The result of the trial of this special tool was by using the specialtool the body position was uprigth and the power released was not because the tool was made longer. When removing and installing a belt, it is usually done by two people and now it is now enough for one person while doing the work. The special tool couln minimize the occurrence of injuries starting from the hand scratched by the component because it had to press the tool that was placed between the radiator fan and the engine, it hit the engine because it sliped because the dimension of the tool is too small, spine and shoulder injury due to too long bending and as a support for pressing and holding tool to release belt. Dalam proses melakukan service bukan hanya melakukan penggantian oli atau penggantian fillter saja tetapi juga melakukan pengecekan komponen lain. Salah satuya pengecekan komponen atau penggantian komponen yang menempel pada engine yaitu proses remove and install v belt. Dalam pekerjaan melepas dan memasang v belt pada unit “Scania P360 CB 6×4 EHZ” merupakan pekerjaan yang dilakukan diatas engine. Saat proses pengerjaan posisi mekanik jongkok diatas samping engine. Akan tetapi, bekerja dengan posisi jongkok terlalu lama dapat menyebabkan sirkulasi darah tidak lancar dan tulang belakang melengkung sehingga cepat lelah. Akibatnya mekanik yang bekerja sering mengalami sakit punggung, bahu, pinggang dan cidera tangan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan diatas penulis membuat special tool remove and install v belt, kemudian mengetahui proses pembuatan dari special tool serta mengetahui cara menggunakannya. Metode yang digunakan penulis adalah field research yang meliputi observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Desain atau rancangan pada special tool mempertimbangkan keergonomiannya yaitu dari dimensi, kenyamanan dan keamanannya. Hasil uji coba dari special tool ini adalah dengan adanya specialtool posisi badan tegap dan tenaga yang dikeluarkan tidak besar karena tool dibuat lebih panjang. Pada saat melepas dan memasang belt biasanya dilakukan dengan 2 orang sekarang cukup dengan 1 orang saja saat melakukan pengerjaan. Special tool tersebut dapat meminimalisir terjadinya cidera mulai dari tangan yang tergores komponen karena harus menekan tool yang berada diantar fan radiator dengan engine, terjatuh menghantam engine karena tergelincir disebabkan dimensi tool tersebut terlalu kecil, cidera tulang belakang dan bahu akibat terlalu lama membungkuk dan sebagai tumpuan untuk melakukan penekanan dan menahan tool untuk melepas belt.
