Pengembangan Website Poltekba dengan PHP Native, HTML, MySQL, CSS, dan JAVASCRIPT

Abstrak (Abstracts)

The development and the need of Information Technology nowadays are rapidly gaining in popularity and advancement. Many education institutions, especially in higher education, are utilizing the Internet as the media for publishing institution-related information including but not limited to department or study program, campus-related activities, and even news. All those information are neatly packaged in the form of website. Website is not just for relaying static information, but also for dynamic information by way of integrating the information displayed with a database server. Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan’s website nowdays has been complained by the visitor that claiming the website is slow to access. With this problematic, The UPTSI recommend how to improve the speed of Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan’s website. And writer take this problem into topic/title of thesis about how to improve the speed of the website. With php native method it will speed-up the access to the website. The proposed methods in developing the website is using XAMPP as web server and the database server. And using Notepad ++ and Brackets software as the text editor. And lastly hosting place for Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan’s website. The result is the website of Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan that is fast to be accessed globally through the internet. Perkembangan serta kebutuhan akan teknologi informasi pada saat ini sudah mengalami kemajuan yang cukup pesat. Banyak sekali institusi pendidikan khususnya tingkat perguruan tinggi telah menggunakan media internet dalam mempublikasikan informasi mengenai kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan kampus maupun jurusan dengan menggunakan website. Website tidak hanya sebagai pemberi informasi yang statis, melainkan juga mampu memberikan informasi yang berubah secara dinamis dengan cara melakukan koneksi menggunakan basisdata. Website Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan yang sudah ada saat ini dikeluhkan oleh para pengunjungnya karena lambat diakses. Dengan adanya problematika ini diusulkan oleh UPTSI bagaimana cara agar meningkatkan kecepatan akses website Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. Dan penulis mengambil masalah ini menjadi topik/judul tugas akhir tentang bagaimana meningkatkan kecepatannya tersebut. Dengan metode php native akan mempercepat akses website poltekba yang ada. Metode-metode yang diajukan dalam pengembangan website ini yaitu menggunakan XAMPP sebagai web server dan database server. Dan menggunakan software Notepad ++ dan Brackets sebagai text editor-nya. Dan terakhir tempat hosting web Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. Hasil pengembangan akan berupa Website Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan yang cepat untuk diakses melalui internet.
