PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI ADMINISTRASI UNIT KEGIATAN MAHASISWA BERBASIS WEB DI POLITEKNIK NEGERI BALIKPAPAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Developments in information technology, especially information systems, have brought convenience that promises a work efficiency, especially in institutions or universities such as the Balikpapan State Polytechnic. Administrations that still use the system manually, this is the basis for the need for the author to develop an administrative information system for the Student Activity Unit The information system in terms of managing administrative data of the Student Activity Unit at State Polytechnic of Balikpapan was already available. However, it cannot be implemented yet, so the administrative information system of the Student Activity Unit was developed to facilitate administration and archives in the State Polytechnic of Balikpapan. The administrative information system of the Student Activity Unit is built with web-based computer technology. because it is closely related to website technology, web-based programming languages are needed. This administrative information system uses the PHP (Hypertext PreProcessor) programming language as a scripting language and MySQL as a database. The development of the administrative information system PHP and MySQL based Student Activity Unit has three users, namely Admin, Member, and Supervisor. This system gives admin access to managing data in adding, editing, and deleting data. While the Member is only authorized to add data in the form of files into the System and the Supervisor is only authorized to supervise the information system. And the admin can be fully authorized to manage the entire data in the system. Perkembangan di bidang teknologi informasi, khususnya sistem informasi, telah membawa kemudahan yang menjanjikan sebuah efisiensi kerja, terutama pada Instansi atau Perguruan Tinggi seperti Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. Administrasi yang masih menggunakan sistem secara manual, inilah yang menjadi dasar perlunya penulis mengembangkan Sistem informasi administrasi Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Sistem informasi dalam hal mengelola data administrasi kegiatan Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa di Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan sebelumnya sudah ada. Namun, belum bisa diterapkan, sehingga Sistem informasi administrasi Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa ini dikembangkan dengan tujuan untuk mempermudah dalam hal administrasi dan arsip di lingkungan Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan. Sistem informasi administrasi Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa di bangun dengan teknologi komputer berbasis web. karena terkait erat dengan teknologi website, maka di butuhkan bahasa pemrograman berbasis web. Sistem informasi administrasi ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP(Hypertext PreProcessor) sebagai bahasa scripting dan MySQL sebagai database. Pengembangan dari sistem informasi administrasi Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa berbasis PHP dan MySQL ini memiliki tiga pengguna yaitu Admin, Member, dan Pengawas. Sistem ini memberikan akses kepada admin untuk mengelola data dalam menambah, mengedit, dan menghapus data. Sedangkan Member hanya berwenang menambahkan data berupa file kedalam Sistem dan Pengawas hanya berwenang mengawasi sistem informasi. Dan admin dapat berwenang penuh dalam mengelola keseluruhan data dalam sistem.
