PERANCANGAN CLOUD COMPUTING DAN VIRTUALISASI DI POLITEKNIK NEGERI BALIKPAPAN

Abstrak (Abstracts)

ABSTRACT The development of cloud computing is growing and becoming a trend that is widely used in the world of telecommunications today. The world of cloud computing education into something that is needed to support the teaching and learning process. How to build cloud computing infrastructure to support teaching and learning process at Balikpapan State Polytechnic, so that this system can help lecturers and students in teaching and learning process. Cloud computing is a combination of the use of computer technology and Internet-based development (called the cloud / cloud). Any information, applications, and programs run in the cloud, which is a parable of other computers that are accessed through the internet media. One example of Cloud Computing applications is its owncloud which is an open source based application that we can use to complement basic internet service which is a simple solution for the benefit of access and sharing documents through cloud service. This service makes it easy for users to store and sync files online between computers. With the cloud computing, the authors take one of the facilities contained in cloud computing is cloud storage and designing storage technology to facilitate users in uploading and retrieving important files / data on the internet. ABSTRAK Perkembangan cloud computing semakin berkembang dan menjadi suatu trend yang banyak digunakan didunia telekomunikasi saat ini. Didunia pendidikan cloud computing menjadi sesuatu yang dibutuhkan untuk mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Bagaimana membangun infrastruktur cloud computing untuk mendukung proses belajar mengajar di Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan, sehingga sistem ini dapat membantu dosen dan mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Cloud computing adalah gabungan pemanfaatan teknologi computer dan pengembangan berbasis Internet (disebut dengan awan/cloud). Segala informasi, aplikasi, dan program dijalankan di awan,yaitu sebuah perumpamaan komputerkomputer lain yang di akses melalui media internet. Salah satu contoh aplikasi Cloud Computing yaitu owncloud yang merupakan suatu aplikasi berbasis open source yang dapat kita manfaatkan untuk melengkapi layanan internet dasar yang merupakan sebuah solusi sederhana untuk kepentingan akses dan sharing dokumen melalui layanan cloud. Layanan ini mempermudah pengguna untuk menyimpan dan mensinkronisasikan file secara online antar komputer. Dengan adanya cloud computing ini, maka penulis mengambil salah satu fasilitas yang terdapat pada cloud computing yaitu cloud storage dan merancang teknologi storage untuk mempermudah user dalam melakukan upload serta mengambil file/data penting di internet.
