RANCANG BANGUN MEDIA PRAKTIK SISTEM SORTIR BARANG BERDASARKAN WARNA BERBASIS PLC-SCADA

ABSTRACT In competition in the industrial world, companies are required to produce quickly and efficiently to achieve products as targeted. The effort taken to increase production is to use an automation system. One of the industrial automation systems is PLC. For example in the goods packaging industry, conveyors are used only for one type of item. Therefore this system exists to make conveyors that can sort items by color. This system uses a method that is the application of a multisensory system in detecting colors and objects. The sensors used are TCS 3200 and Infrared. The output of this system is form of conveyors, pneumatics, and vacuum which can separate objects based on color namely black and red. This system is a learning module especially for students majoring in electro in the use of industrial automation systems, and capable of being implemented to a wider scale or scope. ABSTRAK Dalam persaingan di dunia industri, perusahaan dituntut untuk memproduksi secara cepat dan efisien agar mencapai produk sesuai target. Upaya yang ditempuh untuk meningkatkan produksi tersebut ialah dengan menggunakan sistem otomasi. Salah satu sistem otomasi di dunia industri adalah PLC. Contohnya pada industri pengepakan barang, konveyor digunakan hanya untuk satu jenis barang. Oleh karena itu sistem ini ada untuk membuat konveyor yang dapat menyortir barang berdasarkan warna. Dalam sistem ini menggunakan sebuah metode yaitu pengaplikasian sistem multisensor dalam mendeteksi warna, dan benda. Sensor yang digunakan adalah TCS 3200 dan Inframerah. Hasil output dari sistem ini berupa konveyor, pneumatik, dan vakum yang dapat memisahkan benda berdasarkan warna yaitu hitam dan merah. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat menjadi modul pembelajaran terutama mahasiswa jurusan elektro dalam penggunaan sistem otomasi di industri, dan mampu diimplementasikan ke skala atau ruang lingkup yang lebih luas.Keyword : PLC, TCS 3200, Infrared, Conveyors, Pneumatics, Vacuum.
