RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM KENDALI PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH PLASTIK MENJADI BAHAN BAKAR MINYAK

Abstrak (Abstracts)

Since it was first discovered in 1907, the use of plastic and plastic-based items is increasing. This research is intended to design a plastic waste treatment using the pyrolysis method, this research was also conducted to find out how many oil products were produced. The study was conducted using several components, namely the HC-04 ultrasonic sensor, as an input to the chopper, one phase induction motor as an actuator on the chopper, the electric lighter accumulator on the butterfly stove as to trigger the gas output on the stove so that it becomes a fire, and a flame detector sensor to turn off the lighter by detecting the flame made by the electric lighter. The whole system can work semi-automatically or manually depending on the needs. After being tested, it turns out that it is true when plastic waste is added to the combustion process, the smoke produced from the pyrolysis process when passing through the condenser tube will turn into fuel. Sejak ditemukan pertama kali pada tahun 1907, penggunaan plastik dan barang-barang berbahan dasar plastik semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk membuat rancang bangun pengolahan limbah plastik dengan metode pirolisis, penelitian ini dilakukan juga untuk mengetahui berapa banyak produk minyak yang dihasilkan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan beberapa komponen yaitu sensor ultrasonik HC-04, sebagai input pada mesin pencacah, motor induksi satu fasa sebagai aktuator pada mesin pencacah, akumulator pemantik elektrik pada kompor butterfly sebagai untuk memicu keluaran gas pada kompor sehingga menjadi api, dan sensor flame detector untuk mematikan pemantik api dengan cara mendeteksi api yang dibuat pemantik elektrik tersebut. Keseluruhan sistem dapat bekerja secara semi otomatis atau manual tergantung kebutuhanya. Setelah diuji ternyata benar ketika cacahan sampah plastik dimasukan ketabung pembakaran, asap yang dihasilkan dari proses pirolisis ketika melewati tabung kondensor akan berubah menjadi bahan bakar.
