ANALISA KEAUSAN PADA CAP SPIDER DRIVE SHAFT UNIT HD 1500-7 DI PT UNITED TRACTORS SITE BATUKAJANG

Heavy duty dump trucks are heavy equipment used in mining, one of this type is HD 1500-7. This research was analyzed the causes of wear on the cap spider rear drive shaft HD 1500-7. The the research aimed to determine the cause of wear and find out the wear characteristics of the cap spider rear drive shaft unit components of the HD 1500-7 unit. The method used data collection, visual observation, and rockwell hardness test results. From the analysis results, it was found that the cap spider rear drive shaft components was not identical wear. From hardness rockwell test obtained value about 46,92 in sample A and in sample B 47,96. In the results of visual observations, and rockwell hardness tests that the component did not degrade, both in composition and structure have the same value. The cause of wear on the HD 1500-7 cap spider rear drive shaft unit come from external factors. The external factor was that the component gets a very high load, bad component installation, bad component maintenance process, and improper operation. Heavy duty dump truck adalah alat berat yang digunakan dipertambangan, salah satunya bertipe HD 1500-7. Dalam penelitian ini menganalisa penyebab keausan pada cap spider rear drive shaft HD 1500-7. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya keausan dan mengetahui karakteristik keausan pada komponen cap spider rear drive shaft unit HD 1500-7. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, pengamatan secara visual, dan hasil uji kekerasan rockwell. Dari hasil analsisa didapat bahwa komponen cap spider rear drive shaft mengalami keausan tidak seragam. Dari uji kekerasan Rockwell didapatkan nilai berkisar pada sampel A 46,92 dan sampel B 47,96. Dalam hasil pengamatan visual, dan uji kekerasan rockwell bahwa komponen tidak mengalami degradasi, baik secara komposisi dan struktur mempunyai nilai yang sama. Penyebab dari keausan pada cap spider rear drive shaft unit HD 1500-7 berasal dari faktor ekternal. Faktor ekternal itu adalah komponen tersebut mendapatkan beban yang sangat tinggi, pemasangan komponen yang tidak baik, proses perawatan komponen yang tidak baik, dan pengoperasian yang tidak sesuai.
