¬ANALISA TRANSMISI ABNORMAL SAAT RANGE SHIFTING PADA LD 205 UNIT QUESTER CWE 370 DI CUSTOMER PT. UNITED TRACTORS SITE LOREH

Abstrak (Abstracts)

CWE 370 Quester Unit is one of Dump Truck unit that use to carry out the material from one place to other place. This unit mostly use in mining, container port and construction. There is one of the most important component on Dump Truck Quester CWE 370, it is transmission. The function of transmission is change the round produced by engine to move the unit in order to move forward or backward according to the torque rotation, so the unit will have varying speed. While doing On Job Training, the researchist found one trouble that happened in CWE 370 Quester Unit with unit code LD 205. Trouble that happened is the unit experiencing noise in transmission section. This research aims to know the factors of this trouble, how to solve it and the precaution. Data collection is use to get the aim of this research, the result of technical service report, historical unit and pictures that related to the damage that occurred in that unit. According to the result from data that has been collected and processed, the cause of Noise is from Range Synchronizer that wear, that wear is cause from the energy of flow factor that is not good, there is corrosion in range cylinder, that makes the move of Piston Range Cylinder not smooth. The caused of corrosion is the construction of Breather Range Cylinder that is easy to take in water when washing unit. Then the researchist did the improvement on that breather to overcome the occur of corrosion. The researchist does not only do a replacement on Range Synchronizer but also do preventive action therefore there is no trouble again.. Unit Quester CWE 370 merupakan salah satu jenis unit Dump Truck yang digunakan untuk mengangkut material dari satu tempat ke tempat lainnya. Unit ini banyak digunakan pada bidang pertambangan, pelabuhan peti kemas, serta kontruksi. Pada Dump Truck Quester CWE 370 terdapat salah satu komponen penting yakni Transmission. Fungsi dari Transmission yaitu mengubah putaran yang dihasilkan oleh Engine untuk menggerakkan unit agar dapat bergerak maju atau mundur sesuai torsi putarannya sehingga unit memiliki kecepatan yang bervariasi. Pada saat melakukan On Job Training, penulis menemukan suatu trouble yang terjadi pada unit Quester CWE 370 dengan kode unit LD 205. Trouble yang terjadi yaitu unit mengalami Noise dibagian Transmisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengetahui faktor – faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya Trouble tersebut serta bagaimana cara mengatasi dan pencegahannya. Untuk mendapatkan tujuan penelitian tersebut maka dilakukan pengumpulan data berupa hasil technical service report, historical unit dan foto-foto yang terkait dengan kerusakan yang terjadi pada unit tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan yang diperoleh dari data yang telah dikumpulkan dan diolah dapat diketahui penyebab Noise berasal dari Range Synchronizer yang telah aus, adapun keausan tersebut disebabkan karena faktor aliran tenaganya yang kurang baik, yakni telah terjadi korosi pada bagian dalam Range Cylinder sehingga pergerakan Piston Range Cylinder tidak lancar. Adapun penyebab korosi tersebut dikarenakan kontruksi Breather Range Cylinder yang mudah kemasukan air saat pencucian unit. Kemudian penulis melakukan improvement terhadap breather tersebut untuk mengatasi terjadinya korosi tersebut. Sehingga penulis tidak hanya melakukan penggantian Range Synchronizer namun juga telah melakukan tindakan pencegahan agar tidak terjadi trouble berulang.
