ABSTRACT Scania is one of bus and large truck produsent large capacity in this world .Scania was established in 1891 , until now , that has produced very good for transportation .In addition , it produced and maritime machine .In 2004 , PT United Tractors tbk officially were appointed as single distributor that has products for marketing in indonesia .In the stage of opening filter that they used tool that was a filter water blow dryer can open but can also be the potential minor injury that is the fingers pinched tools when performing the process of opening a filter water blow dryer and will take a long time in the kickoff , The purpose of this research to design and make special tool to open a filter water blow dryer therefore that it can be eliminate the danger , time eficient as well as to able to prevent waste pollution .From the results of the design and calculation in get design to take off a filter water blow dryer in very simple terms , the results of the analysis that has been,There a profit from the use of tools which was reduce even avoid of the breakdown of time which is too long from the process of maintenance , and forces las in the formulations of the tolls 11,076 kg Keywords : Special Tool, Filter Air Dryer, Scania ABSTRAK Scania salah satu produsent bus dan truk kapasitas besar terkemuka di dunia. Scania didirikan pada tahun 1891, hingga saat ini, Scania telah memproduksi sangat baik untuk transportasi. Selain itu, Scania juga memproduksi mesin industri dan kelautan. Pada tahun 2004, PT United Tractors Tbk secara resmi ditunjuk menjadi distributor tunggal produk Scania untuk pemasaran di Indonesia. Dalam tahap pembukaan filter tersebut menggunakan tool yang ada filter air dryer dapat terbuka namun bisa menimbulkan potensi minor injury yaitu jari tangan terjepit tools saat melakukan proses membuka filter air dryer dan akan memakan waktu yang cukup lama dalam pembukaannya, adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk merancang dan membuat special tool untuk membuka filter air dryer sehingga dapat mengeliminasi bahaya , mengefisiensi waktu serta dapat mencegah pencemaran limbah. Dari hasil perancangan dan perhitungan di dapatkan desain untuk melepas filter air dryer secara sederhana, dari hasil analisa yang telah di lakukan, di dapatkan suatu keuntungan dari penggunaan tools yaitu mengurangi bahkan menghindari breakdown time yang terlalu lama dari proses maintenance,serta kekuatan las pada pembuatan tool ini sebesar 11,076 kg Kata Kunci : Special Tool, Filter Air Dryer, Scania
