RANCANG BANGUN SPECIAL TOOL REMOVE AND INSTALL HYDRAULIC TANK CAP (MERK HYVA) PADA UNIT SCANIA DI PT. UNITED TRACTORS Tbk, SITE JEMBAYAN KALIMANTAN TIMUR

Abstrak (Abstracts)

In the service process, it doesnt only do oil changes or fillter replacement but also check other components contained in under the unit and the engine. One of them, namely oil sampling on the hydraulic tank. In the process of removing and installing the hydraulic tank cap works on the engine. To overcome the problems above, the researcher make a special tool remove and install hydraulic tank cap, then know the manufacturing process from a special tool and knew how to use it. The method used by the researcher is field research that includes observation, documentation and interviews. The design of the special tool taked into account its safety, namely its dimensions, comfort and safety. The result of the trial of this special tool was by using the special tool the body position was uprigth and the power released was not because this tool was combined with a socket and T-handle or torque wrench. Job becomes more efficient, and ergonomics for their special tool and potential injury at the time of execution minimized. When removing and installing the hydraulic tank cap, the mechanic usually has difficulty to removing because it is too hard and it is difficulty to measure the tension when installing, but now just by using the special tool with the T-handle when removing and using the torque wrench when installing. Special tool can minimize the occurrence of injuries raging from pinched hand when holding a spanner, unbalanced falls and broken the spanner and mechanics working under the unit can overflow the spanner or hammer and the resulting stress strength can vary because the strength of each mechanic varies so it is difficult to measure up to 30 Nm or 3 Kgf. Job become more efficient and ergonomic because of special tool and potential injury when doing the job is minimized. Dalam proses melakukan service bukan hanya melakukan penggantian oli atau penggantian fillter saja tetapi juga melakukan pengecekan komponen lain yang terdapat pada kaki – kaki unit dan engine. Salah satunya pengambilan sampel oli yaitu pada hydraulic tank. Dalam melakukan proses membuka dan menutup hydraulic tank cap merupakan pekerjaan yang dilakukan diatas engine. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan diatas penulis membuat special tool remove and install hydraulic tank cap, kemudian mengetahui proses pembuatan dari special tool serta mengetahui cara menggunakannya. Metode yang digunakan penulis adalah field research yang meliputi observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Rancangan pada special tool mempertimbangkan keergonomiannya yaitu dari dimensi, kenyamanan dan keamanannya. Hasil uji coba dari special tool ini adalah dengan adanya special tool posisi badan tegap dan tenaga yang dikeluarkan tidak besar karena tool di kombinasikan dengan socket dan handle T atau kunci torque. Pada saat melepas dan memasang hydraulic tank cap biasanya mekanik mengalami kesulitan untuk membuka karena terlalu keras dan sulit untuk mengukur tension saat memasang sekarang cukup dengan menggunakan handle T saat membuka dan menggunakan kunci torque saat memasang. Special tool tersebut dapat meminimalisir terjadinya cidera mulai dari tangan terjepit saat memegang kunci pas, terjatuh kehilangan keseimbangan dan kunci pas tersebut mengalami kerusakan serta mekanik yang bekerja di bawah unit bisa tertimpah kunci pas atau palu tersebut dan juga kekuatan tension yang dihasilkan bisa berbeda-beda karena kekuatan setiap mekanik berbeda-beda jadi sulit untuk mengukur hingga 30 Nm atau 3 Kgf. Pekerjaan menjadi lebih efisien, dan ergonomi karena adanya special tool dan potensi cidera pada saat melakukan pengerjaan terminimalisir.
