Laju Infiltrasi Pada Tutupan Lahan Perkebunan dan Semak di Kota Balikpapan
Abstrak (Abstracts)
One of the factors that can increase the infiltration rate is the presence of vegetation on the land. This study aims to determine the infiltration rate, water content, and soil classification of each land use, namely Perum BPD bush, PT. Badak NGL, bush Jl. Padat Karya, jackfruit gardens, salak gardens, and coconut gardens. This study compares shrubs, which are unspoiled land, and gardens, which are land that has changed land use. Measurement of the infiltration rate in the field using a double ring infiltrometer which is immersed into the soil and then the ring is filled with water to the upper line limit. Observations of water level subsidence were measured every 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 minutes and so on. Measurement of the infiltration rate was carried out by plugging the tool as much as 2 points at each research location. Soil testing in the form of water content and soil classification using the USCS method. The results showed that the measurement of the infiltration rate in Perum BPD shrubs (3.06cm/hour and 2.03cm/hour), PT. Badak NGL (2.99cm/hour and 2.32cm/hour), and Jl.Padat Karya (2.91cm/hour and 2.69cm/hour) has a medium infiltration rate classification. The results of the research on Jackfruit Gardens (1.11cm/hour and 1.72 cm/hour) and Salak Gardens (0.70cm/hour and 1.65cm/hour) had a rather slow classification rate while Coconut Gardens (3.46cm/hour and 5.51cm/hour) has a medium infiltration rate classification. The value of water content in the bush Perum BPD 22.94% and 22.54%, PT. Badak NGL 23.29% and 20.29%, and Jl. Padat Karya 23.15% and 22.51%. The water content values in Jackfruit Gardens were 17.66% and 17.87%, Salak Gardens were 21.76% and 21.38%, and Coconut Gardens were 31.93% and 29.33%, respectively. Soil at the research location of Perum BPD, Jl. Padat Karya, Jackfruit Garden km.15, and Salak Gardens km.20 can be classified as SW, which is a fine graded sand. While at the location of PT. Badak NGL and Manggar Coconut Plantation can be classified as SP, which is a poorly graded sand. Keyword : infiltration rate, water content, soil classification method USCS
