PERANCANGAN JARINGAN FIBER TO THE HOME (FTTH) BERDASARKAN SITE ON DEMAND DAN MANAGEMENT CORE DI KELURAHAN KARANG ASAM ILIR KOTA SAMARINDA

FTTH network is a modern technology that uses optical fiber in its transmission media. FTTH transmits large amounts of data. However, the FTTH network has limitations in transmitting data, therefore it is necessary to build a new FTTH network in the Karang Asam Ilir sub-district, Samarinda City. The implementation of the FTTH network design will be equipped with a management core to assist in knowing the core path of each device/unit. The results of the simulation of the FTTH network design at the farthest ONT distance with a received power value of -20,615 dBm, Q-factor 5.84244, and min BER 2.56883e-009. The value in the calculation of the farthest ONT receiving power is -22,303 dBm. The management core results in a configuration of 27 FAT core path designs, OLT-FDT core designs. The design of the management core in Karang Asam Ilir, Samarinda city uses 5 tubes with a total of 27 cores used and 5 cores as a backup. From the results presented, the acceptability, Q-factor and min BER have met the standard requirements in fiber optic communication systems and the management core designed has been valid based on tube color, core color, splitter, and port. Keywords: FTTH Design, Simulation, Management Core. Jaringan FTTH merupakan teknologi modern yang menggunakan serat optic dalam media transmisinya. FTTH mengirimkan data dengan jumlah yang besar. Namun jaringan FTTH memiliki batasan dalam mentransmisikan data maka dari itu dibutuhkan pembangunan jaringan FTTH baru pada kelurahan Karang Asam Ilir Kota Samarinda. Penerapan perancangan jaringan FTTH akan dilengkapi dangan management core guna membantu dalam mengetahui jalur core setiap perangkat/unit. Hasil simulasi perancangan jaringan FTTH pada jarak ONT terjauh dengan nilai daya terima -20.615 dBm, Q-factor 5.84244, dan min BER 2.56883e-009. Nilai pada hasil perhitungan daya terima ONT terjauh -22.303 dBm. Management core menghasilkan konfigurasi 27 desain jalur core FAT, desain core OLT-FDT. Perancangan management core di Karang Asam Ilir kota Samarinda menggunakan 5 tube dengan total core yang digunakan 27 core dan 4 core sebagai cadangan. Dari hasil yang disajikan daya terima, Q-factor dan min BER telah memenuhi syarat standar dalam sistem komunikasi serat optik serta management core yang di desain telah valid berdasarkan warna tube, warna core, splitter, dan port.Keyword : FTTH Design, Simulation, Management Core
